I’m not up on thi subject.

I wonder does this entail, or lead to, a federal standard for training and qualification?
Not saying that would be a bad thing, or good.

Any Federal training or requirements would be a bad thing.

Current reciprocity is usually based on equivalency of training and background investigation or lack of any requirements.

No requirement for a federal standard.

It leads toward national Constitutional carry.

Anyone who can legally carry concealed in their home state can carry in any state in the Union, under that state’s concealed carry laws.

There are 12 states that do not require a permit to carry concealed now.

In 2004, there was one.

Not likely, as the situation is now. Twelve states are constitutional carry states with no permits required. The extent of freedom in those states is probably for the best in several ways.

For one, some foreign enemy nations have been building up rather rapidly. Few are aware of this, but invasions and attempts at occupations would follow nuclear exchanges.

For another, we've seen in the news, that violent criminals are being dealt with more quickly now. At the same time, we're not seeing much violence committed by so many people carrying around us. The social environment is really generally more peaceful in the states with constitutional carry.
