New Book: Hillary Clinton Staff Worked to ‘Maximize’ Candidate Donald Trump in GOP Primary

New York Times reporter Amy Chozick has further evidence that the Hillary Clinton campaign wanted President Donald Trump to win the Republican primary.

In her new book, Chasing Hillary: Ten Years, Two Presidential Campaigns, and One Intact Glass Ceiling, Chozick reports that Clinton campaign manager Robby Mook was looking for ways to improve Trump’s chances of winning the primary in a crowded pool of candidates including Marco Rubio, John Kasich, and Jeb Bush.

Chozick writes: “An agenda for an upcoming campaign meeting sent by [Campaign Manager] Robby Mook’s office asked, ‘How do we maximize Trump?’”

She explains further that when the main GOP debate aired, Mook got close to the television and said, “Shhhhh, I’ve gahtz to get me some Trump.” At the time, Chozick says, Mook thought Rubio would win the nomination.

When Trump ended up being the man to beat, Chozick says that the Clinton team focused in on improving her low favorability ratings, writing that Clinton became dispirited as time went on and said to a friend: “What’s the point? They’re never going to like me.”

On election night, Mook informed Clinton that she could not win. In response, Chozick writes, the Democratic nominee said: “I knew this would happen to me. They were never going to let me be president.”

I always wonder what they say behind the scenes in Hillaryland, as they thought Trump would be the weakest opponent.

What does it say about Hillary and her people, that they lost to the person they wanted to run against, they lost to he was supposedly the weakest candidate.

This reminds me a bit of the 1980 election, in which Jimmy Carter and his people wanted Reagan to win the GOP nomination. They believed that Reagan would be the easiest opponent to defeat.

We all know how 1980 turned out..............

The Left cannot stand that Trump fights back like the Democrats fight! Leftists are used to any/all Republicans rolling over and saying ‘thank you Sir, may I have another’.

So basically Hillary’s campaign totally underestimated Trump and misjudged the electorate. That right there is proof that the better candidate/team won the election.

Dizzy Dean famously said “I don’t see how it can be so hot with so many fans”

Hillary thinks folks don’t like her and yet she won the popular vote

Bad instincts. Bad judgment. Bad campaign.

She should have let her husband handle the politics and remained his hatchet man.

Schadenfreude alert!
Hillary’s team expected Trump to be the cartoonish, buffoon candidate who could only serve to knock others out of the race.
In the meantime, they kept trying to sell someone totally unrelatable to everyday Americans and shove it down our throats - the first female POTUS or bust! Bwahaha!

Her arrogance took over. 25 years of “the smartest woman in the world” press went to her already inflated head.

Everything that Hillary Clinton touches turns into sh*t. She screws up everything from Libya to her own presidential campaign. Can anybody name one thing that Hillary Clinton has been successful at? She has been able to convince a lot of stupid people that she is smart, but that is it.

I prefer the original stories that on election night she was drunk out of her mind and threw a $million dollar bottle of champagne through an 8 foot TV screen, violently attacked her staff, and had to be sedated.
