Clearly Hillary must have been in a drunken stupor by that point - the self-pitying "poor me" phrasing is a dead giveaway - he would have been able to easily smell the alcohol on her breath from ten feet away - it must have been overpowering up close like that.

She only got about 27% of the Arkansas vote, and Arkansans probably knew her better than anyone else — except NY state. In NY state she ran for the US Senate on a list of issues.

In her presidential run, she ran on the same list but her position was about 180-degrees counter to when she ran for the Senate.

That was a great part of Hillary’s problem — everything was weighed in terms of her political ambition, everything went through focus groups.

Hillary may be right on that one — they were not going to let her be president — the voters, the deplorables, that is. Hillary helped defeat herself by her own actions, inactions, and words.
