Philadelphias police commissioner is apologizing to two black men who were arrested at a Starbucks in the city following backlash over the language he used in a previous statement.
"Im here to discuss the unfortunate incident that has been in the news about this great city an incident that I fully acknowledge that I played a significant role in making worse," said Commissioner Richard Ross at a press conference held Thursday. "For starters, I should have said the officers acted within the scope of the law, and not that they didn't do anything wrong, he said.

Good to know that Starbucks is not interested in maximizing their profits and giving preference to their paying customers, but in providing free shelter and services to all comers.
Starbucks. The new hang out. You don’t even need to buy anything.
Next up...the Keys to the City! They were using a brick before so this’ll be much easier.
We are sorry you are worthless trespassing POS.
Then they should be ok with the local bums squatting and relieving themselves on the floor as long as they’re one of the protected class of course.
He just made it ten times worse.
Idiot.
Maybe a bunch of white folks should show up at Starbucks, use the toilet, and sit down and see what happens.
Maybe a black person and a white person should go in together, loaf around, and see what happens.
Distinction without a difference. Another spineless PC bites the dust.
I was just thinking that if Obama had been President when this happened, he would already have stuck his nose in this matter.
He’d be declaring that the police acted stupidly, if he had a son or sons they would look like the ones arrested at the Starbucks, and he’d insist on inviting them to the WH for a coffee summit or some such thing.
When is the parade for these two whiny punks?
libs hunched over laptop ‘puters for hours at end has been a fact of life at Starbucks.
Who’s the next official muckety-muck to issue a profuse apology?
That is the hook to get some people in the door, but I feel certain Starbucks knows that most people will make a purchase (or multiple purchases) once in the door.
It reminds me of the people who get thrown out of the all you can eat buffet places for abusing the “hook” and eating too much, or wasting too much food.
So now blacks will not be arrested when a White calls the police on them. The police will make a judgement: black accused or white? Black - reject the reason for the call, reprimand the White, and set the blacks free.
Ebony and Ivory, sit together in perfect snobbery.
Be a victim of a PC event and live well forever after. Meanwhile, those who dared to cross you will be persecuted forever.
So I guess companies must provide their loitering policy too the cops before it’s enforced.
Dear a$$hole police commissioner. What you should have said is nothing. But you felt compelled to proclaim to the world that you are not racist and that your police are not racist.
The police arrived on the scene and did their job. Are you implying that the officers are racist?
They got to him.
This is crazy. The Chief has been threatened. The two black guys controlled the outcome, all they had to do was leave or become a paying customer.
This was a textbook arrest for such a trespass. The Cops did nothing wrong, period.
I have been in a Starbucks maybe 2 or 3 times and only when it’s the handiest location for a quick cup. last time was when my bride was in a hospital for surgery. I’ll now stay out of Starbucks just as I stay away from any MLK Jr. named roads, etc.
I happen to like Starbucks K-cup for our coffee maker. Last night we switched to McCafe’ K-cups. I’ll adjust or go back to percolating my coffee. I still have my mom’s old percolator...it’s probably 50 -60 years old. LOL
Now that it appears that Starbuck is rebranding itself to be a gay and black coffeehouse/hangout, perhaps they should start using recycled Baltimore water. Well, I understand it is brown even without the coffee beans.
