There is no serious doubt in my mind that Pennsylvania is hoagie heaven, not only for those of us who live here, but for those who travel through. Personally, I think Speedway, a recent out of state import, even bests Sheetz on most food. And Sheetz has better food than Wawa, but Wawa has a better selection of travel related stuff.

Whenever I go to Wawa I get the Sheetz.

That would be “intrastate” not “interstate”.
“Interstate” means between two states, like the interstate highway system (Hawaii notwithstanding.)

There were Wawa stores in Connecticut when I was growing up. It wasn’t such a much there, inferior to 7-11. I assume they have upped their game. Here in Georgia, RaceTrac is okay and better than RoadRanger or KwikTrip in the upper Midwest, but I suspect that place in Texas has them all beat.

Personally, I think Speedway, a recent out of state import, even bests Sheetz on most food. And Sheetz has better food than Wawa, but Wawa has a better selection of travel related stuff. Interesting, because Wawa is now an out-of-state import to Florida, and seems to be fancier than either Racetrac or Speedway, both of which we have had in Fla. for years. I like the Wawa kiosks, and the prices seem to be reasonable as well. Sheetz hasn't made an appearance down here yet, as far as I know...

I was in a Wawa once.
1991 in Philadelphia. Was drunk on Rolling Rock beer.
Stopped in and did a late night mini-raid on the Tasty-Kake display.
Can’t remember much about it other than having a hangover the next day when I visited Valley Forge.
