As you filed your taxes this year, you might have spent some time grumbling. Why does it have to be so complicated? Am I paying too much? Couldn't the system be more fair?
But it's at this time of year when you ought to consider that as an American, when it comes to taxes you've got it easy.

The problem isn’t that the people who actually pay taxes aren’t paying enough, it’s that almost 50% of the country pays NO taxes and actually gets money back they never paid in. They always conveniently leave that part out.
Yeah today is a bad day for me. I just sent the IRS almost $10k on top of what we already paid all year. Screw em!

A point rarely considered is that one’s time on Earth is limited.
Makers tend to be partial tax slaves where a significant portion of their waking hours are spent supporting the governments.
The Takers spend ZER0 amount of their time supporting/contributing to the general welfare of the village.
That’s were the real rub comes from.
It's NOT that we don't pay enough taxes, it's that the government wastes them on things that it shouldn't.
Typical Eurofetishist Left. Of course the most experience the vast majority of them have is having been a tourist in Western Europe a time or two. I lived in 4 European countries for years. They are far from the never never land Leftists in America would have you believe.
To begin with, they are poorer. Anybody who opens his eyes can see it. Secondly their services often suck and are getting worse since they can’t afford the lavish social welfare states they’ve constructed. They also are a lot more centralized and have much less choice in a range of areas than most Americans have. I lived be the culture and history Europeans have but as for the lifestyle, business/career prospects, etc......I’ll take America every time.
Bull$hit. Europeans pay more, get a little something from the government, and must suffer very high unemployment and unproductivity.
While payroll taxes are regressive, social security benefits are progressive. A lower income individual will make a higher “return” on the first dollar paid in than a higher income person will on his last dollar paid in.

Polls only reflect how successful the socialists are at messaging their class warfare rhetoric. When you realize that the overwhelming majority of income taxes are actually paid by the top 10% + corporations, the truth is revealed in this socialist's closing paragraph: his ilk want more free stuff from the Government, and they want someone ELSE to pay for it.
It's a lot easier when you don't have to pull out fake looking monopoly money. Instead you just slide a card move on with your video gaming.
