Cohen attorneys say feds seized devices that have 'nothing to do' with warrant, rip 'unprecedented'
Fox News ^ | 4-16-2018 | Brooke Singman

Attorneys for Trump lawyer Michael Cohen, ahead of a court hearing Monday afternoon, blasted the FBI for its “unprecedented” raid on his properties last week and claimed the feds seized items that “have nothing to do with the probable cause” on which the warrant was granted.

..

During that hearing, Cohen’s attorneys also were instructed by Judge Wood to disclose the name of another Cohen client – which attorneys confirmed was Fox News host Sean Hannity.

From prior Politico article:

Redacted Charging document https://www.politico.com/f/?id=00000162-c035-db71-a37e-e4bff8f00001

“the USAO-SDNY has already received correspondence from counsel for the Trump Organization (Cohen’s former employer), which referenced the searches conducted of Cohen’s premises and claimed:
We consider each and every communication by, between or amongst Mr. Cohen and the Trump Organization and each of its officers, directors and employees, to be subject to and protected by the attorney-client privilege and/or the work-product privilege.”

“Accordingly, the nature of the USAO-SDNY’s investigation and the nature of the offenses—which sound in fraud and evidence a lack of truthfulness—weighed heavily in favor of the USAO-SDNY’s decision to execute search warrants.”

No, I don’t think so. But it may relate to what Cohen told the FBI about how he funded the $130,000 payment.

It is illegal to lie to the FBI, but not illegal for them to lie to you.

From the article:

Daniels, who initially denied a sexual relationship with the president, is now seeking depositions from both Trump and Cohen. If approved, Trump would be the first sitting president to be deposed since former President Bill Clinton during Ken Starr’s independent counsel investigation.

Was Daniels questioned by the FBI and did she tell them there was connection between Trump and her. And did they then tell her she was guilty of a felony for lying. And then cooperate with the FBI to take down Trump? You simply cannot make crap like this up.

What was the stupid judge’s purpose in making Cohen expose Hannity in court?

Other than to smear Hannity and try to drag him into Mueller's Soviet Circus I can't think of a single thing.

Publicly naming an attorneys clients and payment arrangements seems totally inappropriate and intended to simply embarrass the clients and suggest they are doing something wrong by the choice of their attorney. The bell cannot be unrung once the name is out.

>>>We really can’t count on Congress to protect the Constitution<<<

The Congress Violates the Constitution every day they are in Session. The Courts then double down on rendering the Constitution null and void.

Our Nation’s Founders are spinning in their Graves. The Republic is in peril and the Citizenry welcomes its death with their colossal Ignorance.

Ah yes...The FBI...It has a uncanny way of seizing computers and finding nothing related to the warrant. Then, after months of possession, manages to unearth child porn...

But, when they seize the computers of mass murders they cannot find anything pointing to terrorism...

Zoe Baird was nominated first, but withdrew when it became known she had hired illegals to work for her. Kimba Wood was nominated next, but she too had hired illegals and she withdrew. Wood was also named as the other woman in the divorce proceedings of her present husband. Both had been married previously and were adulterers.

I just heard Hannity say that all the legal advice he got from Cohen was just advice. None of it involved a 3rd party.

That would rule out any settlement actions.
