The Latest on U.S.-led missile strikes on Syria (all times local):

The Pentagon says a Russian "disinformation campaign" has already begun over the U.S.-led airstrikes in Syria.
Chief Pentagon spokeswoman Dana White said Saturday that "there has been a 2,000 percent increase in Russian trolls in the past 24 hours."
The U.S., Britain and France said they launched Saturday's strike to punish Syrian President Bashar Assad for a suspected chemical attack against civilians in the town of Douma outside Damascus. Opposition leaders and rescuers say more than 40 people, including many women and children, died in the suspected chemical attack.
Russia's Foreign Ministry says the attack was an attempt to derail an investigation into a purported chemical attack. The Foreign Ministry says facts presented by Russian investigators indicated that the purported attack was a "premeditated and cynical sham."

One target was a storage facility near Homs primarily for sarin, but another was a research facility near Damascus, presumably the one containing production equipment and was known for production and testing of the products, which Mattis described as chemical and biological. A third target near Homs was a chemical weapons storage and also a command site.
Israelis hit a production facility c2013 as well. And before that c2006 they hit a nuclear research facility used by both Syria and guest Norks.

I stayed up a good part of the night to see what would develop. It wasn’t long before the “bots” from all sides were posting. Listened to Britains and French press conferences as well to get their picture. Also Representatives who spoke out.......
.....my take is the response ‘of citizens’ both the US, Russia, Syria, Britain and France addressed this as an attack By the US against Syria rather than the true purpose of taking out internationally ‘banned’ use of chemical weaponry in Syria, (regardless of who was using it) which had been brought 6 times to the Security Council ‘to enforce’ on Syria the established law, which was ‘blocked by Russia’. ......there was no other alternative after countless warnings....the gas attacks continued.
How Syrian ‘public’ see this event.....
.....Damascus residents celebrated it as a victory for Assad against their perceived notions it was a US attack against Syria.....Here’s a quote.”No casualties and damages are minimal thanks to the fantastic job of Syrian defence systems.”
.....Further.. last night Russia took back control of Syrian air space after the attacks were over ....which again they perceived as Russia gaining ground and fending off the US.......They ‘believe” Assads air defence systems protected their country against a US attack..but whether they want to acknowledge it or not, we destroyed chemical weapons factories which were being used against their own people.... They have little or no understanding that weapons labs etc were destroyed by British, US and French air strikes.....they see it as an attack against Syria that Assad was victorious in ‘winning’ over the US.........
