The claim was that Bush 43 said we wouldn't be Iraq long term.

We didn't stay long term in Iraq after the first Persian Gulf war. We protected Kuwait and didn't stick around. We definitely won that war.

It's absurd to imply he was lying when his comments were before 9/11.
