A Russian lawmaker claimed the strikes were aimed at disrupting the work of international investigators looking into whether Syria used chemical weapons in the town of Douma. "The airstrikes were carried out by the U.S.-led coalition consciously to spoil the investigation," Russian parliament member Dmitry Sablin was quoted by the Interfax news agency as saying. Alexander Sherin, deputy head of the State Duma's defense committee, likened Trump to Adolf Hitler, and considered the strikes to be a move against Russia. Trump "can be called Adolf Hitler No. 2 of our time — because, you see, he even chose the time that Hitler attacked the Soviet Union," state news agency RIA-Novosti quoted Sherin as saying.

Russian officials say a lot of things, most of them completely unhinged lately. If you throw enough lies and fabrications around, some might stick, I suppose. This is just the latest.
My favorite recently was Russia insisting there had been no chemical attack in Syria, which within a few days had transformed into, “The British set up the chemical attack in Syria.”
It is exhausting keeping up with all the nonsense spouted by them. It must be for domestic consumption. They can’t seriously think that any rational, thinking person with access to a free press and information would swallow any of this, can they?
They hardly ever hit the Israelis missiles that hit into Syria. So, at this time, saying these missiles were shot down sounds like bluster. Let’s see some evidence.
Just about five minutes ago, a reporter on Fox News was talking, and it seemed he heard something in his earpiece which may have been a report of something.
I don’t know what it was, but it seemed possibly related.
We will see.
Yeah, I’m sure they shot down a lot of missiles, just like they always shoot down Israeli missiles, which means NONE AT ALL.
The most illuminating thing was that once we got to see the pictures of the hangar at T4, the only holes in the roof are the skylights. The vertical walls are full of round holes and sheet metal blow out from projectiles, not pressure.
Did not everyone notice that after the latest gas attack is when the T4 raid was executed? Then all of a sudden all the news and propaganda ostensibly from Syria, even from Afrin totally went silent. Then that begs the question, who is now controlling what is going on inside Syria? How did those American, er Israeli, or whoever make such a prefect hit at the airfield without any holes in the roof?
Now over nine hours since the attack and no white helmets flooding the internet with blown up baby milk factories!

The consequence here is that Russians are uncertain whether to defecate or go blind.
Perhaps they may close one eye and break wind.
How exactly is Russia going to retaliate? I wish the pearl clutchers would describe it for us, with special emphasis on how they’ll pay for it.
