Re Sessions, it's neither of the reasons you mentioned. Sessions is a member in good standing of The Swamp. He was a U. S. Senator for over 20 years, more than time enough to be corrupted by The Swamp.

It should be obvious by now that Sessions was a Trojan Horse in the Trump campaign. Even before being sworn in, Sessions set the whole chain of events in motion that led to Mueller's appointment. Rod Rosenstein was Sessions' pick for Deputy AG. Sessions and Rosenstein recommended Comey be fired. Rosenstein made the recommendation IN WRITING WITH DETAILED REASONS. When the President acted on that recommendation, Rosenstein promptly turned around and appointed Mueller who is investigating the firing as "obstruction of justice." That is ENTRAPMENT, which is illegal. None of that could have happened if Sessions was an honorable, ethical man.
