UK Moves Submarines Next To Syria, Strikes May Begin As Soon As Thursday

Shortly after Theresa May declared that she could act in Syria without approval from Parliament, the Telegraph is reporting that the prime minister has ordered UK submarines to travel within striking range of Syria, and adds that strikes could begin as early as Thursday night.

With the US's Truman carrier still a month away, the "coalition" will rely on UK and French ships. US air support will likely also be involved, suggesting that any attack on Syria may be based on a joint UK-French naval operation, with US air support.

Meanwhile, as reported earlier, President Bashar al-Assad has already started moving aircraft and military vehicles away from air bases that could become targets for the coalition's bombs.

Mrs May hardened her stance towards Syria as she said the UK, US and France were “rapidly reaching” a clear picture of who was responsible for last Saturday’s chemical attack on Douma, Eastern Ghouta.

Mrs May said "all the indications are that the Syrian regime was responsible", adding: "The continued use of chemical weapons cannot go unchallenged."

Sources indicated to the Telegraph that Mrs May has now abandoned any intentions of seeking the backing of Parliament - which does not sit until Monday - for military action.

There are reports that President Bashar al-Assad has already started moving aircraft and vehicles away from air bases that are likely to be targeted, and both Mr Trump and President Emmanuel Macron of France have stressed the need to act swiftly.

On Wednesday afternoon, in the US, President Trump told reporters to expect a decision Wednesday night, while Press Secretary Sarah Sanders has said "a number of options" are on the table regarding US action in Syria.

"I have seen the pictures of the dead, children with gas masks and people washing down with water with their clothes on. Do you think that was Kabuki theater?"

Of course. Don't you?

World war 1 started before that, they just needed a public excuse. Pretty flaky.

Mattis himself said there was no proof that Assad used any form of gas on his people in the previous “attacks” of 2013 and 2017; but now it is suddenly gospel truth and we have to risk WW3 (not to mention Trump losing the confidence of his voting base if he goes through with this insanity).

Of course it was theater. First of all the white helmets have actually won an Academy Award for their last film. Second of all when I was in the Marines I was taught that it takes a little more than a bandana and bottled water to deal with a nerve gas attack. It’s pure BS.

Yeah I watched Will Smith blow up an alien spaceship too, and flying F18. A good movie is all it takes to convince these morons

Why can’t we just leave them be. Take the billions we spend on them and subsidize US energy. We don’t need Saudi oil or money.

I don’t care about Palestinian children.

The Trump administration needs to convince the American people that US participation in the Syrian civil war is in our vital national interest.

I’m weary of combat operations in all these Mideast s-holes.

If we let neocon-phobia to cause a blind eye to what is going on in Syria because of Iran and Russia, we will let disaster happen.

From the photos and videos, the chemical attack on the Syrian civilians looked real to me. What I saw was dark, lousy photos. A staged photo would have been perfect with lighting, composition and subject matter.

Enter U.S. technology for better pictures: Our surveillance satellites could see war planes go over Douma at the exact time of the gas drops. They could see the explosions as they hit the ground. They knew where these planes originated and study the types of weapons loaded into them. They probably saw that “blue stripe” that indicated they were chemical bombs. And they got radio communications that talked about the progress of the weapons to the airplanes. A satellite may have read a wrist watch to do a time check (my theory). On the plate is Saudi Arabia and Israel. That is a picture you cannot overlook. Make no mistake.

AND Churchill was salivating to get us into WWII.

Well we really had no choice but to get into WWII.

But it was WWI and its’ aftermath that made it possible.

Pretty grim assessment, nice if there was a peaceful way out. I have some other opinions but they aren't feasible.

A little more forbearance and better standard of proof wouldn't have hurt. And if Trump blinks, which he doesn't ever seem to do, there goes a lot of deals that were trending in our way.

War is always the fashionable choice among the elite. It scratches an itch that never goes away. Aside from central banking, it’s the most lucrative activity man engages in.

The elites worship an entity which demands human torment and sacrifice, particularly of children. Murdering children in an angozing manner with chlorine gas to foment a deadly war is pretty much their wet dream come true.

Whatever the US does in Syria is driven by policy, and policy has no regard for silly facts.

True. There is typically a deflective false flag and a cooperative media needed to sucker societies into war. Most average people want peace. The few want war.

We need to see proof that Assad actually did it. The possibilities are endless as the CIA, Mossad, Isis, Turkey, Arab Brotherhood, etc all have incentives. We dont know what tribal factions are involved, but she how Caucasians Wil pay the price. The Arab Spring started this. Who started the Arab Spring? Was it the Christian hating Soros?
