Sue the bastards. If Christians are forced to bake cakes for gay weddings BOA can be forced to loan to gun companies. I will donate to support the law suit.

Yuck.

We now use a credit union.

I also have an account at a credit union where I grew up. Just has a few hundred in it.

A few years ago, I wanted a car loan. They asked me for the account number. I read off 0000000044 or something like that. She said “Whoa.” I had forgotten that my grandfather was one of the founders and I had a real legacy account.

That Whoa was sort of a “you get whatever you want, sir” whoa.

We just had a minor run-around with our credit union but it was pretty minimal and got worked out. It was a lot of work on their part but I think it had to do with financial minutia.

Great. Make sure you tell them that her termination is no-negotiable. The anti-american, communist bitch must go.

Hmmm...wonder what it would do to the economy if a large portion of BOA customers took their money out of their bank(s). What other banks do they own?

It is cool when you can look back to an account like that.

I was one of the first members of an employee credit union many years ago. That used to get some head turns also, years later.

In business relationships, there are going to be times when folks will butt heads.

Heck, we have disagreements with our friends too.

Glad that wasn’t too serious.

The good old days. $50 bucks was some decent money back then.

As a kid I was earning about $0.50 cents an hour in those days.

That’s their right. My right is not to ever do business with them.

It was actually kind of funny. My 18 year old had an investment account my mom set up. it was in my name as the custodian with his name on it also. We closed the investment account so he could pay for school.

At first, they told us they couldn’t put it in his account, then they couldn’t put it in mine.

I finally had to make them set up a new account, with me as custodian just to get the check cashed.

I wasn’t mean enough to say, now, take all the money in my new account an transfer it to my old one.

It was some sort of regulatory snafu. Fortunately that CU is 3 blocks away

Hmmm like the idea will put pressure if we do that, and see what they do in response.

What does a weapons STYLE have to do with anything? The STYLE does not have an effect of what the weapon can or can not do! If a weapon is NOT used by the Military it is NOT a Military Weapon no matter what its STYLE is.

That’s it! I’m closing all of my BofA accounts tomorrow!

Oh wait..... I already did that twelve years ago.

Never mind.

I sincerely hope all Freepers who are BA customers are opening new accounts at other banks.

If I were to stop doing business with every company with whom I have a policy disagreement, I would have to keep all my cash in a mattress, walk everywhere, and drink nothing but tap water. I'd probably also have to become a trained doctor and dentist not to mention a devout Atheist.

What's my point? You can pick nits with anyone and everyone out there for something they've done, said or written. My advice is to stop the snowflake pouting and change what you can. Boycotts always feel good, but mostly accomplish very little at the end of the day.

“I sincerely hope all Freepers who are BA customers are opening new accounts at other banks.”

I will soon return to them the pieces of my credit card.

Wouldn't it be something if some of their executives one day stopped at my house and asked for help when they attempt to flee to Cuba?

Over the last 30 years, BofA has been very accommodating to me.

Yeah, same here. B of A has been very good to me over the years. If I stopped using companies because I don't like some thing that they did, then I'd have to live in a shack in the mountains, produce all my own food, and stuff my money in a mattress. No thanks.

The only thing that will stop these institutions is a lawsuit, preferably a class action suit. Same should apply to Facebook, Twitter, etc. Unless these actions are stopped, our rights will be lost to whatever is most popular or deemed correct by he who controls the game.

I complained to my local B of A manager today. Basically got told it was a management decision and brushed off. Hate to do it but because I spend time in two states, Wells Fargo is now at the top of my list. If I had stock in BOA and lived where the annual meeting was held, I’d consider attending the annual meeting and bringing this matter up as a stockholder question.

BofA has $2.28 TRILLION in assets. Your complaints (as will be the rest of ours) aren't even a blip on their radar. And Wells Fargo? They'll be the next to cave under liberal pressure to follow the "moral example" of BofA and Citi Group. Pretty soon they all will cave.

And they won't stop at assault rifles either. See how easy that was? Why not semi-auto handguns?

I agree that it's going to take lawsuits or congress, and we'd better have some good judges because our congress people sure don't give a crap.
