Sharma writes about culture and the environment.

But not about science.

I have a hard time comprehending global warming for the same reason I can’t comprehend Santa Clause, the Easter Bunny, or the Tooth Fairy.

It's a great theory, and only one thing is wanting: evidence.

It’s Hyper-Bullsh*t!

We comprehend it fine because we have a rational, scientific minds set rather then an emotion based poltical religion viewpoint.

Did the author put the part in there about how man’s solutions to such imagined problems only make things worse?

We’ll have to have this guy explain Summa Theologica.

We can comprehend when the NWO globalists design a scheme and try to push fiction as fact.

"I understand grant$ and up-staffing $$$ for crying wolf, corrupt and outcome-driven peer reviews, and manipulated datasets (temperature sensors in parking lots instead of pastures)."

Exactly. I am very open to looking at any data objectively, but science has become so politicized in the US as to have lost the right to be respected. The peer review process for grants and publications has become horribly corrupted, there are 'mafias' of people who scratch each other's backs, and because the NIH does not require US citizenship for the vast majority of its taxpayer-dollar funded grants, there are now 'mafias' of foreign nationals on the review committees, and they fund each other. Why would any young person in the US go into a grant-funded science career these days?

I’ve noticed another hyperobject which really worries me. Lately I’ve noticed that when I lie down on my back, my abdomen constantly rises and falls. That is scary as it implies my body is not in stasis, where i’m pretty sure it ought to be. Then today I had to get out of bed and run downstairs and outside because I forgot to put the garbage bins on the curb. When I got back in bed, I noticed the rising and falling of my abdomen was much more frequent. Obviously the problem is getting worse. So I am going to remain in bed for the rest of my life and do nothing to increase the rise and fall. At least it will minimize the problem. I am also going to write a book about my unsettling discovery and demand governments ensure everyone else remains in bed. I might even get a Nobel Prize, although there is no way I can go to Sweden t accept it. At least I can be sure that future generations will thank me.

The “hyperobject” of the climate is so massive over space-time that an entire race of beings and all they do can only influence it .0038%. Maybe that race of beings is extraordinarily insignificant to this “hyperobject” and the only hyperobject is the ego some have about self-importance.

We’ll have to have this guy explain Summa Theologica.

Maybe also examine the difference between science and scientism.

Add to that our Patent Office malaise, and it’s very bad. So many have such little idea of our bad situation.

But, allowing a century of pubic school indoctrination and lawyer-driven shenanigans has brought us here. I’m not sure we’re recoverable without a hurtful, painful fall occurring.

The four conditions to create their climate change have not been successfully met. Ask any believer what those four conditions are and they’ll likely just stare and stammer.

"A decade ago, the environmental philosopher Timothy Morton invented a new word: hyperobject.

A second after reading this, the normal human being of average intelligence, Me, invented a new word: hypertwadle.

Morton should take a freshman Geology course if he wants to understand climate change. It would all come into focus then.

Agreed. Better yet, a course in historic geology. But to comprehend the "hyperobject" of deep time and the cosmic unimportance of human beings in the great scheme of things would require him to give up his colossal sense of hubris.

While C02 is the *product* of warming rather than its *cause,* one wonders how the writer can explain he high levels of C02 in the Pliocene, as mentioned in the article.
