Tomorrow Attorney General Jeff Sessions will announce the assignment of U.S. Attorney John Lausch to facilitate the production of documents from the DOJ (Horowitz/Huber) to the House Judiciary Committee, and Chairman Bob Goodlatte.
Mr. Lausch is a Trump appointed U.S. Attorney from outside Washington DC. John Lausch currently heads the Northern District of Illinois which includes Chicago, and this specific U.S. Attorney has extensive experience in complex cases of conspiracy and political corruption; a key skill-set given the issues within the Horowitz/Huber investigation of potential politicization of the FBI and DOJ offices.
Accepting the OIG report is almost certainly the most complex undertaking of IG Horowitz career; and accepting the multitude of possible angles within each section of the investigative inquiry are so consequential; theres a strong likelihood the report could come out in stages.

Ya....cuz a guy from Chicago isn’t going to protect the Obama administration......
Staff was doubled a few weeks ago. So now there will be three employees working on this “project”.
We read this yesterday.
Has the “appointment” happened yet today?
How long is the delay in production expected to last?
Why is this extra step necessary (The DoJ has already had MONTHS to get the job done)?
Why is no one fired?
He’s a Trump appointee from Joliet.
Not just a guy from Chicago. A partner at Kirkland & Ellis, a huge international insiders’ insiders multi-national law firm. Can’t get more Establishment.
Yeah, this is more mark bradman aka sundance wishful thinking nonsense speculation with nothing backed by actual evidence.
Why doesn’t Sessions just appoint a Blue Ribbon Panel?
They will get to the bottom of it (SARC)
More kabuki... Nothing will change, the DOJ and FBI are corrupt and politicized, they are in full cover up and CYA mode.

You, Okeypoker, are such an annoying and annoyed child.
You repeatedly feel it necessary to react to 'The Conservative Treehouse' and sundance like a Wellesley college girl who repeatedly steps into a warm pile of sewage sludge.
Lame and predictable ..... that's you.
Go back to Bernie Sanders' summer home in the Champlain Islands. I think he'll let you scrub down the pier.
Actually, if you do a little more reading you will discover an increasing number of Freepers commenting on CTH nonsense and the not too bright folks who are members of the sundunce cult. Where I may have been a solitary voice in the past, I am in the majority now.
Congress asked for 1.2 million unredacted documents 5 months ago. Thus far Congress has gotten 3,000 heavily redacted documents. Sessions, Rosenstein and Wray are trying to run out the clock. Trump needs to order DOJ/FBI to turn the docs over to Congress.
Why not use your time preparing to enjoy the ride into the abyss?
Or......how about joining your local Tea Party or similar organization and organize pressure campaigns for your local, state, and federal leaders?
First, it’s John Huber from UTAH to investigate FBI misconduct. Now, we get Lausch from CHICAGO to oversee documents production and redactions.
I hear there’s a lawyer from American Samoa who needs a gig to read Strozek and Page emails. There’s also a lawyer in Kodiak, Alaska who can read any Inuit documents produced by DOJ or FBI.
All their work should be completed by 2050. However, all reports will be heavily redacted for “national security” reasons. President Miley Cyrus said: “this dark period of conspiracy theory has come to an end.”
I used to be a huge Sundance fan. But his claim that Rosenstein is a white hat is insane.
Something happened to Sundance, and it wasn’t good.
(Lausch) “. He will report to Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein.”
Well that is certainly reassuring...
What the heck???? Why in the heck do they need to appoint another person to do something that they should have been doing already??
It’s an excuse to continue the very slow walking until the coup is accomplished.
‘[Lausch] will report to ... Rod Rosenstein.
Of course Lausch will report to the AG. Who did you expect him to report to, the Deputy AG?
