Trouble brews for James Comey as he prepares to break silence with book tour
Washington Examiner ^ | 7 April 2018 | Daniel Chaitin

In less than two weeks, James Comey is poised to begin a book tour and break his silence about his experience serving as FBI director before he was fired last summer by President Trump.

Beyond the occasional tweet in which he has defended an embattled FBI from Trump's criticisms, Comey has largely kept out of the public eye while wrapping up his book, titled “A Higher Loyalty: Truth, Lies, and Leadership." But with April 17, the day his memoir hits bookshelves, fast approaching, a number of potential complications have arisen.

"There are two major consequential probes going on right now. The Russia probe ... and with the findings not being released yet, James Comey is putting himself into a perjury trap position. He will be talking about things – meaning his interactions with the president – he had nine separate interactions either on the phone or in person with the president, and he's going to set himself up to purposefully or unwittingly saying something that is not consistent with what he's going to have told the special prosecutor," James Gagliano said during an interview on CNN, referring to special counsel Robert Mueller.

Gagliano said there is also the matter of the Justice Department inspector general looking into the DOJ and FBI over their actions, including during the investigation into former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton's unauthorized private email server, which Comey oversaw. "He's also be a central figure in that. So, I think that the timing is the issue," Gagliano said.

Will Comey back out of his publicity tour? Pretty poor timing if this overlaps the IG report...

What trouble? The Deep state has his back at every level. Nothing will EVER happen to Comey.

The “Russia probe” should be labeled what it is. That is, an attempt to frame the president of the United States.

He’s too arrogant to cut and run. He thinks he’s smarter than everyone else. St. James should look in the mirror...and notice the crooked halo.

“In less than two weeks”

And the hype train begins in the guise of a news article.

At this point the IG report is a myth. It has been delayed so often that I’m beginning to doubt it exists. Plus Comey’s good buddy, Mueller, is not going to take any action against Comey.

Quoting Hilary, “ and I’ve never kissed him.” That sounds like a threat as in kiss of death.

From the article: "At an event in New York, the former secretary of state said, "we may or may not read" Comey's book when it was mentioned."

We!!!??? Did the other one also lose and run around the world whining about it & make excuses for its loss??

Nixon was not a crook. The Dems went after him because of his work on Hiss (sounds like nowdays):

Alger Hiss was a government official accused of being a Soviet spy and convicted of perjury in 1950. He was involved in the establishment of the United Nations both as a U.S. State Department official and as a UN official.

When Comey was being questioned during the Congressional hearing, I noticed something. When he was asked a question where they were trying to ascertain his guilt or innocence, they would ask the question and he would answer it almost before the questioner got all the words out of his mouth - Comey would rapid fire his yes or no. The only people I have ever seen do that are people who are trying to prove that they are completely innocent. NO hesitation makes people think that innocence has been established.

Comey is a 6 foot 7 inch lying sack of $#!+
