Israeli officials: U.S. must strike in Syria

The United States must attack the regime of Bashar Assad in Syria in response to the regime chemical gas strike on the Syrian town Douma that killed more than 70 people, Strategic Affairs and Public Security Minister Gilad Erdan said Sunday.

Speaking on Army Radio, Erdan, who is Netanyahu’s number two in Likud, said he hoped US military action against the Assad regime would be taken again, as it was when the regime used chemical weapons against its people in the past.

“The shocking attack shows the incredible international hypocrisy of the international community focusing on Israel confronting the terrorist organization Hamas that is sending civilians to our [border] fence, when dozens are being killed in Syria every day,” Erdan said. “It shows the need for strengthening the presence of Americans and other international forces, because without them the genocide we are seeing will only intensify.”

I'd bet anything that the chemical attacks are and always have been either ISIS or rogue elements of the Syrian Army. They ALWAYS happen when the US is ready to pull out of Syria. These are times when Assad has nothing to gain and everything to lose from the attacks.

Why the heck are we still supporting McCain's Terrorists? Would we have been better off with Rand Paul?

I believe these chemical attacks are done by, other than Assad. Dark state, EU, Rome and such...

What a freak show the world has become. All illusionary, all the time.

Turn Assad’s palace into a glowing crater of slag. That would require only one of the large bunker busters.

And then what?

Look at Iraq, post Saddam, and Libya post-Qaddafi. How did the Christian minorities make out, for one thing?

It may be that Assad is the only thing keeping a lid on things getting worse.

I have always been pro Israel but that is wearing thin.
We have been dropping bombs and making a mess of things in the Middle East for a generation....and for what?
Ask yourself who agitates for open boarders in Europe & the US, but not for themselves?
What tiny country gets the LIONS share of our foreign aid for the last 50 years?
Common sense is not ‘antisemitism’...not even close.

With our boots on the ground in Syria defending against the invasion of Turkey and the deaths of Kurd civilians, I think it would be wise to retaliate. Syria was not invited to the Russia, Turk, Iran meeting yesterday and I don’t believe in coincidences. I know there will be survivors of these nations that believe in the God of Jacob, but until the Day is past, who will demand that no nation use chemical or biological warfare against civilians?

Assisting our only true ally in the M.E. is also crucial. I wonder what Mattis and Bolton are discussing?

And then what?>>>>>>>>>

After the use of a RGU-58 MOP, we get them to do their own work.

We get the Saudis to send in an occupation/reconstruction force. They have to do more than just send money if they want to stop Iraq.

And then we come home.Let them eat camel dung for all I care.

Let them understand that massive death from above is always only a heart beat away.

I would support an Israeli invasion of Syria to stop this genocide, and I will loudly support my position of support for the Israelis.

Israel is simply standing for its own interests. That’s commendable and given the refusal of our past 4 administrations to do that for our country, it makes Israel stand out.

Not to mention Obama’s overt political intervention in Israeli elections seeking to overthrow the Netanyahu government. Seems like it’s us who forces bad stuff on them. Like PLO negotiations, intifadas, and Hamas.

What Israel is pointing out in this statement is that the red line being crossed in not Obama's, but that the USA provides the leadership that confronted Russian/Soviet Order of Battle reliant upon Nuclear, Chemical and Biological weapons - evryone signed off on the International Ban, the it is the Old Soviet Syria, N. Korea production facilities that still operate upon NBC order of battle. Should the USA fail to resolve to confront and stair down the usage of banned weapons, then their use will continue. If the USA is abandoning it's stance for the past 100 years, e.g., that since WWI we hold illegal the usage of said weapons, and the leaders from the civilian to the military who utilize them will be held responsible.

All you here talking about Israel pushing US policy ignorant period of US policy and current position. Israel simply pointed out the US position requiring a response in order to smear Syria and Russia and Iran in one honest fell swoop. Shame on you anti-NBC usage arm chair QBs.

Trump can't be this stupid

I supported him 100% from the walk down the elevator, when there were only two or three of us on FR who did. I believed and still do believe that he's a brilliant strategist and could get a lot of this correct. But he's got to stop listening to some of the people he's listening to. The Manipulators don't want him to sit down and talk to Putting, Assad, and the NK leaders. President Trump cannot do what he's best at, talking out issues and coming to conclusions, unless he does.

And get Jared and Ivanka out of the WH!! I suspect they're batting for the globalists, possibly too dumb and uninformed to know who's manipulating them.

Israel is not our friend on this one. They're expansionist, and don't like the concept of a strong Syria.

JMHO

Does anyone think it's a coincidence that this story broke on McMaster's last day as the National Security Advisor? LOL.

They used to pretend we were arming, training, and financing legitimate protestors to Assad's so-called atrocities. They are, and always have been, McCain's Terrorists. With President Trump making Benghazi such a big issue, I really do not support that we don't even here about charging those involved with Benghazi and the subsequent transfer of arms as war crimes. Instead, President Trump is supporting those interests. Whatever happened to the Benghazi issue and figuring out who and how those weapons got to McCain's buddies?

Unlikely, though it’s unseemly for Israeli officials to say things like that. Trump is too big a dog to be wagged, but if he deems it appropriate, he’ll do the right thing.
