Although the Texas Legislature and Executive Branch is overwhelming Republican, a coalition of all Democrats joined by enough RINOs to form a majority, have continually elected RINO Joe Straus as the Speaker of the House since 2009. Thus, the Democrats, through Straus, have been able to block conservative initiatives and reforms. RINO Darby is attempting to build a similar coalition to become speaker so that Democrats will be able to continue to block conservative initiatives and reforms.

There has to be a coalition because there is no minority party in the House.
There is no minority leader to appoint, in this case democrats, to the committee on which they serve. Minority members, like the majority members, are appointed by the Speaker.

RINOs are really Democrats in terms of wanting big government control. We conservatives have to acknowledge that we are a minority even in states that are supposedly Red.
