President Donald Trump said Tuesday that the US military will be used to guard the US-Mexico border.
“We are going to be guarding our border with our military. That’s a big step,” Trump told reporters gathered at the White House. “We cannot have people flowing into our country illegally, disappearing, and by the way never showing up for court.”
The President’s comments appear to take aim at current US policy which requires border agents to catch then release family units who arrive at the border from noncontiguous countries.
He also said he had spoken with Secretary of Defense James Mattis about the use of the military to guard the border.
In recent days, Trump has repeatedly tweeted about a caravan of illegal immigrants making their way from Honduras to the US border via Mexico. The President had threatened to end the NAFTA agreement if the Mexican government did not stop the caravan and to end U.S. aid to Honduras.
Mexican authorities responded to Trump’s Sunday threat to kill NAFTA by pledging to disband the caravan and allow some transmitters to apply for asylum in Mexico. The organizers, however, said many members of the group will continue marching north towards the US-Mexico border where, if they claim asylum and are with a family unit, they legally must be released into the interior of the country.

Immigration of illegals and enemies is INVASION. Trump not only has every right to prevent invasion regardless of Congress, he has every DUTY to prevent invasion because the Constitution MANDATES that he do so.

The American people pay taxes for our Military to protect US - NOT to protect Arabs and everyone else in the world.
To protect OUR borders, our cities, our homeland.
They belong on our borders until our borders are secure. Germany, Europe, South Korea, Africa etc will just have to protect themselves for a while.
If you see a caravan in North Mexico, send an A-10 to strafe it. Just to send a message.

This is brilliant. Requiring the Military to be assigned to border duty will build support for passive means of securing a border. The military will complain to their families, it will look like the problem is being taken serious, and the people of states from which the military are being drawn will want them back.
This should eventually create a consensus for border wall funding.
Next time we see a caravan in Northern Mexico we should send a fleet of B-2s to Mexico City and level it.
I'm pretty sure he is just venting. I very much doubt he intended that as a serious suggestion. At least I hope he didn't.

That lack of resolve is exactly WHY they use women and children as human shields.
Just put remote activated mines in random places along the border. The remote “turns on or off” a certain ‘sector’ of them. Like “concealed carry” ... they “might” be a problem, but not all of them are active at the same time. One of them blows up ONE person and a million illegals will stay home, won’t even need a wall.
No need to shoot. Just a Mach 1 low flyover ought to soil a few panties and make ‘em think that staying in Mexico might be a good idea.

If possible, he needs to get illegal alien crime data from every state for at least the past two years (or more). Also add what the costs are for giving them legal representation and incarcerating them.
That information coupled with the total costs of schooling their children, food stamps, housing, and any other money we taxpayers subsidize needs to be published for EVERYONE TO SEE! Bet Trump’s approval ratings would skyrocket once this info was publicized!
