Dutch lawyer Alex van der Zwaan, the son-in-law of Russian oligarch German Kahn, was sentenced Tuesday to 30 days in prison and must pay a $20,000 fine for lying to federal investigators about his contacts with senior Trump campaign official Rick Gates as part of Special Counsel Robert Mueller's probe.

Van der Zwaan, 33, received the first sentence in Mueller’s investigation into Russian meddling and potential collusion with Trump campaign associates during the 2016 presidential election.

30 days!!! LOL! Wow, Mueller, you're really racking up the convictions here! How many millions per day does that come out to?

He’s got to keep this going long enough for the Hillary donors on his team to recoup the money they lost betting on the old nag

Is it collusion with Ukraine? Not Russia?

Note one of the charges:

he deleted "and otherwise did not produce emails" sought by Mueller’s office

Hey, Hillary ... scared?

And how many tens of millions did it cost us? Would love to see how much Muller spent to get a 30 day jail sentence.

With that as the standard, what prison term has Hillary racked up? 240 years?

Can we have some Russians indicted Mulehead? Lets say for collusion?

Doesn’t matter. Mueller knows there won’t be any extraditions.

Waste of time and money.

Hmm, if it’s only 30 days for lying to the feds, why not lie and destroy evidence if you are accused of something that carries a sentence more than 30 days?

Seems like you would be stupid not to!

30 days. What’s that with time off for good behavior, etc? Need a strictly cash, fully anonymous, go fund me method to cover the $20k. Donors will want to give the finger to Mueller, not receive his back. Set up a non-video monitored cash drop at one Trump rally and you’d cover that.

It’s rather odd that a foreign national would remain in the country in order to be imprisoned, and it’s rather odd that he’s even subject to the jurisdiction of US courts in this matter to begin with.

Never heard of this guy before. How about doing something about the guilty parties we actually know about, Mueller? To me,this seems like arresting the kid with the lemonade stand. Does this have anything to do with any of the real problems?
