There is a precedent of sorts, that would be used if the Ginsburgs et al were to become the majority. The Colarado SC declared a provision of the Colarado Constitution to be unconstitutional and it was accepted by all . There was much wailing and gnashing of teeth but no one suggested that the CST did not have that power. After all, it is the Supreme Court and therefore it is the Last Word on anything and everything. There is no political or legal gainsaying it. That is not how our system was envisioned, but as with so many other facets of Tyranny, that is the present pass. Judges actually rule and the USSC actually rules the judges. The Republic has been set aside by a Judicial oligarchy. Is that a Judiciarchy?

Tyrants and dictators cannot tolerate an armed citizenry and visa versa. Its that simple.

There was a time I didn’t fear the government. Obama proved me wrong. Liberals talk about arresting and killing us almost daily because we own guns. We need them more than ever.

I did not fear the government until I realized that both parties were on the same team working for the same goal, stealing the country from the citizens by flooding it with foreigners.

They can’t have the New World Order while Americans are so well armed.

"They" - where they are the would-be fascists who would like to regulate and control every facet of our lives - are most certainly coming for our guns. They cannot squash common-sense opposition to their fascism if those to be squashed (imprisoned or killed) actually have the means to effectively fight back. Hence, before they can implement their liberal-fascist utopia, those pesky freedom and liberty types (ie. us) must be disarmed so we can be "dealt with" without posing a risk to society - their socialist utopia society.

You can find it all over the internet, so-called "gun control" DOES NOT WORK. Cities, States, Countries, etc. with strict gun control still have high crime rates, with just as much, often times more violence than areas with less strict gun control where armed citizens are more common.

Therefore it is demonstrated fact that "gun control" does not work, and in fact in many ways negatively impacts public safety. So why would anyone advocate for it? Because they don't give a rat's backside about public safety. Gun control isn't about safety, it is about incrementally moving towards disarming law abiding citizens.

Advocates for gun control know this. They know every single "gun control" law passed will be in-effective. In fact, they want them to be in-effective. {Diety} forbid something actually worked, stopped or significantly reduced violent crime. Then they'd have no excuse to keep passing laws incrementally eroding our rights. Why do you think they resist the notion of putting armed guards in schools and arming staff in schools? These steps would actually work at preventing school shootings, and reduce the casualties if/when one occurred.

They want us disarmed. That is the goal. "Gun control" is a means to that end. We have to stop any and all gun control no matter what terms they couch it in. Do I oppose "common sense" gun control? Absolutely. There is nothing common sense about it, any of it, and the ultimate end is going to be millions dead. My take on it is we stop this nonsense right here, right now. We force their hand - no more gun control, no more erosion of freedoms. You want to try to disarm us, molon labe. Let's get this over with here and now.

This train is derailing faster than the NRA or anyone else can intervene to stop it.

Thank God for David Hogg.

Let that kid keep running his yap, I say. With the GOP doing everything they can to sabotage their Congressional majority, he might be the one who winds up saving it.

The push for more gun control is that great deal related to the Democrats’ attempt to divert public attention away from the genuinely serious trouble they are facing. They are still many millions of dollars in debt and also far behind the Republicans in fundraising efforts. Debbie Wasserman Schultz and numerous other high profile Democrats face serious allegations involving nefarious activities tied in with the FBI and other government agencies. Hollywood continues its’ financial difficulties as well with the continuing decline in box office receipts and TV ratings (particularly for their awards shows).

Of course they are “coming for our guns” but so what? They are not getting our guns. Trying doesn’t mean you win.

“Does Stevens desire “repeal” or abolition”? I suspect abolition is the right wore. He would like to see the Supreme Court declare the 2Amd to be unConstitutional On thee surface it would work.

The Bill of Rights was added to the body of the Constitution before the states would agree to ratify, so the first ten amendments can be seen as legally much more difficult to separate by the amendment process, without vitiating the entire Constitution.

Honestly, if the SCOTUS openly declares that any part of the BoR is unconstitutional, well, I'll reserve my comments as to what should occur next.

Supreme court declares guns are to be abolished from the citizen, it will be time for the citizens to do an 1812 white house treatment on the supreme court.

The right to self defense and bear arms is an inalienable right, meaning it is granted by God (not government). It is non-negotiable and irrevocable unless tyranny is in play - the kind we have seen with the Obama administration (Fast & Furious) and they continue.

Like the terminator, they absolutely will not stop until they get what they want - your guns in the final step towards total submission to government. Eventually, it leads to mass graves.

Why, after the Florida incident (where the Government (e.g., the local police), stood down outside for several critical minutes while the shooter continued his rampage and killed several more. Finally, a secondary sheriff’s department arrived at the scene and aggressively confronted the shooter, took control and stopped the killing.

Unfortunately, people like Hogg become stooges of the left and don’t see what is clearly visible to conservatives, that the government can’t protect you. “When seconds count, the police are only minutes away”.

Hogg is only the most recent iteration that provides an answer to the eternal question: why does evil always fail?

Consider if Hitler had waited only a few more years, or if Cankles had visited a few mid-western states and prevailed.

But, evil being evil, it lacks requisite discipline and inevitably overextends in eager anticipation of its desired reward(s) literally a moment too soon.

Same too the assault on the 2A. For decades, the anti-liberty factions artfully hid their true intentions. Inch by inch, regulation by regulation, they moved their agenda forward.

Then, coming so close they could see the finish line, they trip, falter & reveal. The give the defenders a freedom a final warning and alter them to impending existential danger. And it's then, and finally then, with backs to walls, those fighting for their very lives finally push back.

Hogg should be elevated to hero status by patriots. He provides the vivid visual image of a tyrant that complements Stevens' "reasoned" articulation.
