Great article. Right on. and Bolton is a foreign policy disaster. Horrible “one world” bastard not worth a crap. I assure you he will attack Syria ( trump has no clue on foreign policy) who has done nothing to the USA Ever!! This will engage Russia ( 165million people with NUKES!!) and Iran (93 million) and we will respond with faggots and women in our total annihilation.

Trump's wall remains unbuilt... - not because Vicente Fox refuses to "pay for Trump's f**kin' wall" but because Paul Ryan does.

Exactly.

“In the case of John Bolton, I first met the new National Security Advisor a decade and a half or so back, in a roomful of European prime ministers and foreign ministers. He delivered a line that stunned the joint:

International law does not trump the US Constitution.

I was standing next to the Finnish Prime Minister, Paavo Lipponen, who had a genuinely puzzled looked on his face and eventually inquired of me: “He is making a joke, no?”

LOL. I love this guy.

The hiring of Ambassador John Bolton is connected to the increase in defense spending. He will be an asset to the upcoming efforts to de-nuclearize Iran and North Korea. Also, our dealings with China and Russia will be important. A strong military footprint will be necessary for the military juggling act ahead.

So, if Trump would have vetoed the budget bill, he would have risked having the Democrats back down from the military increases if other issues were pressed. Have a few things changed in the months ahead: the line item veto, the filibuster, and the wall funding. Let DACA hang from the Democrats’ neck like an albatross. A war is not won in one day.

...and now Bolton's back: we'll see how hairy things get. But I don't think he'll be starting any wars - if only because it will conflict with all the transgender-awareness training sessions funded by this great new spending bill.

Read the whole thing. It is vintage Steyn. To the max!

If you are looking for more/endless war, Bolton’s appointment should be music to your ears. Last night was a big win for the Empire. For the Republic... not so much.

I think it explains a lot of this. I think it's Iran. Think about it: Bolton is in (a war Hawk). China is threatening a petroyuan to replace the petrodollar (on the 26th of March???)...and Saudi is purging their inner government of all those opposed to going to war with Iran. We need Saudi to keep trading on the petrodollar.

Now, couple all this with this overwhelming "need" to get the military funded at a much higher rate...and with what is happening in Syria (where Iran is very active)...and with the recent developments regarding the Iranian agreement. Read between the lines...I think we are going to war within the next 6-12 months.

May be Mark Steyn should run for POTUS next time and show us how it is done. Oops, wait a minute, he was not born in US. And we are not sure Obama was either. And we know for sure Cruz was not born here, but that did not stop him from running.

I don't know about you, but nothing makes me want to hurl a chair through the window and punch someone's lights out like being told I need anger management lessons.

Classic.

Bolton was right, when he said, “International law does not trump the US Constitution.” Steyn was and is wrong. With the balance of that article behind the link, Steyn revealed himself to be a globalist European.

Alright. So Steyn wrote a positive piece about Bolton, but it was hard to tell with the lack of any clear thesis early in the article.

“Oh, and don’t give me that “increased funding for our troops” straw-clutching: every sentient creature from the earthworm up knows that the extra dough’s just going to go to diversity programs and gender reassignment surgery as opposed to anything that might increase the odds of actually winning the next 17-year war.”

Mark is right on....

Thanks for posting. Great article. I like John Bolton, find him refreshingly unlike typical Washington. Nice to have some good news.
