A Pennsylvania school district is arming classrooms with buckets of rocks as a last-ditch defense against mass shooters.
David Helsel, superintendent of the Blue Mountain School District in Schuylkill County, told ABC News on Friday that every elementary, middle and high school classroom in the district is stocked with a 5-gallon bucket full of river stones for students and teachers to pelt an armed intruder.
Weve been trying to be proactive just in case, Mr. Helsel said. How can you aim a gun if youre being pelted with rocks?

C’mon man - You can do it!
I say we all chip in, somehow, for a 5-gallon bucket of rocks for Neo-Nazi David Hogg to carry around 24/7.
He can be the poster boy he wants to be.

Stone age weapons up against state of the art weapons,... what could go wrong?Just picture all of the kids in the classroom clustered around the rocks. It would be pretty hard to miss that mass.

They can also throw the rocks at teachers whenever they get frustrated. Blacks can “get whitey”, weapons provided by the School District. I wouldn’t want to teach in that district. They will eventually be sued by the victims for creating this dangerous environment.

If theyre still using books, throw the books.
Alternatively throw the gun-free zone sign.

Good idea. He can lead by example.

And think of all the nutrition after they disarm him.
Of course, they’ll have to fight over the banana.
They can throw rocks at each other for it.
A pointy stick? That could be troublesome.

Exactly. Plus it gets everyone thinking about defense. Baby steps. We can improve defenses later easier than convincing them to take a big initial leap.

Teachers and staff must be given 50-gallon buckets of rocks.
You know, to defend themselves.
