"Never seen such immature silliness over a 5 month spending bill."

No....they said they have no intention of signing another bill until next year. This will kill Trumps mid terms hopefuls...the Dems will gain Congress.....he will be impeached and they will vote for dismissal. The worst thing he could of done is sign this bill...he's done.

Why would he be trotting out all these random cabinet members???

To deflect the fact that he just sold out his base.

Agreed that a lot of the above is over the top, but the main thing to me is what I said waaay upthread:

Donald, YOU BLINKED !

You may be right, but to most of us this was his Old Man Bush, read my lips moment. This was a setup for him to demoralize his base, and there’s no denying that this just happened. I’m really disappointed. I don’t think we can ever defeat the Deep State!

I think I’m done voting too. It’s a blue state anyway.

The veto would likely have been overturned making Trump look weaker. I’m sure he took this into consideration. So if he gets what he wants on the next spending bill (the wall), he will come out on top.

He made that point: terrible bill. But is a veto worth holding up needed funds for our military and a pay raise for our troops worth it?

We need more conservatives in Washington. As long as that isn’t the case, this is what happens.

Immature because we’re rightfully outraged that he didn’t bother to fight?

ONE POINT THREE TRILLION DOLLARS EVERY FIVE MONTHS?

How long do you think that can go on? If you're looking for possible responses I suggest you check with the insane asylum run by the Leftist 'Rats.

Ryan's and his dem buddies positioned the knife at our backs, but took Trump to push it in.

Only Nixon could go to China.

Only Trump could go to open borders.

Congress has lots of power, and they are the primary cause of thre US being turned into a third world location, nation in name only.

Trump has made and continues to make incredible progress against this entrenched institutional enemy of the constitution.

That being the case, how likely do you think it is he could have made a veto stick?

They would need close to 60 votes in the House to switch and vote to override the veto. That's a pretty tough hill to climb. The Senate would have been much easier.
