Here Is What Is In The Massive $1.3 Trillion Spending Bill(only a couple things)

Here is what is in the text:

Key Features of the House Bill

1) Defense Spending

House lawmakers are making the largest investment in American defense in the past 15 years, according to the House Appropriations Committee. The bill provides $654.6 billion in domestic and Global War on Terror/Overseas Contingency Operations funding, marking the largest year-to-year increase since the start of the War on Terror.

2) Infrastructure Spending

The legislation includes some $21 billion for domestic infrastructure spending on transportation, water, cyber and energy projects.

3) School Safety

Lawmakers are trying to answer the public calls for legislative fixes to gun violence in the wake of the Texas, Nevada and Florida shootings. Responding to those calls, House lawmakers are proposing $2.3 billion toward funding mental health, additional training, and school safety programs at the Departments of Justice, Education and Health and Human Services.

4) Opioid Crisis Funding

The House is proposing roughly $4 billion in funding to combat the opioid crisis Trump has laid out as one of his top priorities.

5) Border Wall Funding

Lawmakers offered $1.57 billion for the construction of physical barriers along the southern U.S.-Mexico border. That funding would include only $641 million for 33 miles of new border wall security — under half of what the president asked Congress for previously. In total, Congress is providing grossly under the $25 billion the White House asked for construction of a border wall and enhanced border security.

6) Gun Background Checks

The bill includes funding for legislation Senate Minority Whip John Cornyn put forth called “Fix NICS.” The bill also includes grants to increase school infrastructure security and allows the Center for Disease Control and Prevention to research gun control as a health issue.

Who actually writes these bills? Who reads them? Who is actually governing us? Laura Ingraham had a copy on her desk last night, and it was two-feet thick.

If Trump signs this bill he is done. He will lose both the Senate and the House and will be a lame President. Looks like he has been trending that way since most of his party has not fought for him. McConnell and Ryan are the communists Democrats and they both hate Trump.

Staffers write; nobody reads and we are dictated to, not governed.

The staffs of both parties the leaders tell them what they want and the staff sticks it in legalese. Thats how its done Congress does not work 24/7 they work on average 2/30 thats 2 hours for every 30 days...the rest of the time they are trying to find money for reelection....In this case the House passed all 12 spending bills and it went to the Senate an since we know Mc Connel hates Trump with a passion he allowed the dems to bundle all 12 bills together. That way they could add whatever they wanted to the budget. Mc Connel could have stopped this by invoking the majority vote requirement but he is still trying to hurt Trump hence the Omnibus way of passing the budget. Its really that simple. Mc Connel and Ryan are the problem period........both life time members of the swamp.....

Apparently the Dems managed to keep the CRS Obamacare subsidies out after all.
I’m surprised.

” to research gun control as a health issue”

Will this mean that doctors will now ask if there are guns in a home?

If a home has guns, will the physician diagnose the patient as mentally ill?

Will this diagnosis now prevent anyone from purchasing a firearm?

Dang! Not acceptable! At all!

If I observe correctly, the Dems are pros at redirecting spending.

Can WE do the same?

Just thinking out loud...

What about...

-Re-directing federal funds that would have gone to law-breaking "sanctuary" states and cities?

- private funding and construction?

- Fees on money grams to mexico?

-Um, major TARIFFS on mexican goods?

-Volunteer labor?

We want this WALL.

We NEED this WALL.

He’s going to lose CONgress anyway. He better ink up his Veto pen. The whole country will see that CONgress has no interest in what is good for the country. I predict there will be huge turnovers in both parties. I wish there was a way for Trump to form a third party with real patriots.

Bill just passed the House. Trump will get the blame because this is a 6 month bill that will end right before midterms.

See how that works?

More like, lobbyists write them. And yeah, nobody reads them. Congress critters vote based on which lobbyists pay out the most to them or their pet projects.

No research is really needed as I am sure CDC has already reached the conclusion that gun violence is a health issue requiring $$$$$$ of federal monies to study further and find solutions for.

So are his listeners, including myself. I believe this will be the small hole in the dyke on Trump. The few conservative congressmen are very upset. I'm surprised the honeymoon as lasted this long.

I'm tired of hearing the 6 month excuse. No attack ever made that Democrats and RINOs votes have to be bought.
