An underground conservative newspaper at Taylor University was recently pressured into temporarily suspending publication for striking fear in some students.
The anonymous paper, called Excalibur, was launched in February by a group of professors as a means to articulate conservative stances boldy, extensively, and without fear of editorial filter, according to a copy of the print edition obtained by Campus Reform.

The publication immediately sparked controversy, with students and alumni objecting to both the authors anonymity as well as their stances on current issues
In fact, a March 7 letter addressed to the faculty behind Excalibur collected more than 100 signatures and claimed that in an anonymous publication, the authors have no credibility, however deserving they may be.
Tell that to James Madison, Alexander Hamilton, and John Jay.
Become an underground publication and there will be no shortage of readers.
BS.
They want to know who to get fired.
Nothing like the smell of fascism EVERY morning, eh?

Were they talking about CNN?
Citizens, we want to meet with you to discuss your thoughts.
How is that not basically a visit from the NKVD?
Nothing says "boldly" and "without fear" like shutting down publication because some snowflakes cried.
Didnt Ben Franklin write articles under a pseudonym? Addressing controversial topics.
So I suppose they're scared of the title "Excalibur" ??? Suggestion a weapon ???
sam·iz·dat
noun
the clandestine copying and distribution of literature banned by the state, especially formerly in the communist countries of eastern Europe.
Samizdat was a form of dissident activity across the Soviet bloc in which individuals reproduced censored and underground publications by hand and passed the documents from reader to reader. This grassroots practice to evade official Soviet censorship was fraught with danger, as harsh punishments were meted out to people caught possessing or copying censored materials. Vladimir Bukovsky summarized it as follows: “Samizdat: I write it myself, edit it myself, censor it myself, publish it myself, distribute it myself, and spend jail time for it myself.”
uh...perhaps the LIBERAL campus rags instill fear into the hearts and minds of thinking students?
Shut ‘em down!
And Robert Yates, George Clinton, Melancton Smith...
Yes, as well as the Federalist Papers and Anti-Federalist newspaper columns.
I read the newssheet. Fabulous writing in support of the Christian foundation of our republic. Of course the truth drives the Left nuts.
This college must be snowflake central.

This will probably shock you a bit but Taylor University describes itself as a “Christian university”.
It’s a Fort Wayne, Indiana version of other similar schools like Messiah College here in my part of PA or Wheaton in Illinois.
Schools that have a religious, evangelical Christian identity but have formalized what conservatives would consider to be “political correctness” over the years.
You cant just simply waltz into any paper newsroom/offices and speak to any writer you want.
Yes, most Christian colleges are now almost as Leftist as regular state colleges (except for more stringent sexual mores). It is so sad to realize that so many Christian conservative parents are spending big bucks to send their kids to a “safe” Christian college, where they will be indoctrinated just like at a state university.
