I think he realizes he has hit people the wrong way and now he’s saying, “look, I’m just coping with my grief.” Somebody is handling this kid. If so, now is the time to usher him out of the limelight. (Actually, that time was 24 hours after the event.) Instead, they are grooming him for public office.
