The professor is actually a she. And the dean punished her for speaking a falsehood, but has offered no supporting data for claiming that the assertion she made was in fact false. There was also a miss-attribution of a quote that affirmative action admitted students were not equipped to compete at a college level; the quote was twisted to “Penn students”, when she referred to the broader effect at all colleges.
