Student Assaulted for Pro-Second Amendment Views, Then Suspended for Defending Himself

PJ Media previously reported on the story of a 17-year-old high school student from Farmington, Conn., who was originally blocked from participating in a school assembly on March 14 where she had planned to present her conservative and pro-Second Amendment views. Thanks to the attention her story received, the student, Ashley Dummit, was eventually able to participate, and gave a speech at the assembly in defense of Second Amendment rights. In fact, she ended up being the only speaker at the assembly.

Unfortunately, not all incidents involving pro-Second Amendment students have ended so well.

Another high school student, 17-year-old Christian Breault, a senior at Middleburgh Junior/Senior High School, in Middleburgh, N.Y., found himself physically attacked for standing up for the Second Amendment when his school participated in the nationwide walkout on March 14. After the school participated in the walkout, an assembly was held in the school, featuring local law enforcement and community leaders to talk to the students about school safety. Instead of safety, the assembly turned political, tensions rose, and Christian found himself targeted for defending the Second Amendment. His father, Brian Breault, spoke out about the incident on Facebook:

The purpose of the assembly was to give administrators and law enforcement the chance to speak with students regarding how the district handles school safety and answer any questions students may have had. During the assembly, a video was shown that changed the focus of the conversation from school safety to politics. This was not our desired outcome for the event, and we regret and sincerely apologize for that result.

They showed an anti-NRA video entitled "We Call B.S." - but they didn't intend for the assembly to be political.

I call B.S. on that!

What they mean, when you translate Edu-Speak for English, is that they didn’t intend to get caught making it political.

I was out with a 10yoa lad the other day he was shooting a SR22 when I could get him to slow down at 10 yards he was shooting nice 1.5 inch groups.

Rapid fire at 25 yards a 8 by 10 or so group.

Let most youngsters firing fast is fun but he has a lot of potential.

In a just world, the US DoJ would have their Civil Rights division send a task force to start pressing charges and making arrests.

He should sue the school, and make sure the administrator that signed off on the suspension is burdened with a lot of additional paperwork. Bureaucrats hate that.

He should also sue the student who attacked him, and the parents of the attacker.

I am also wondering why the police were not called in to remove the attacker? For all their concern about “School Safety” it is all bull. They helped egg on the attacker.

Thank you for referencing that article rktman. Please note that the following critique is directed at the article and not at you.

Presuming that the referenced school is a public school, patriots please consider the following about the alleged assault.

If the school was teaching the students about the personal protections that the states have amended the Constitution to expressly protect as it should be, then the student would be able argue the following about the school's actions with respect to the alleged assault.

Section 1 of the 14th Amendment not only clarifies that constitutional protections apply to US citizens at birth, but the 14th Amendment (the states) also gives Congress the express specific power to make punitive laws that discourage the states from abridging constitutionally enumerated protections.

H O W E V E R …

Considering that all roads of corruption in the federal and state governments lead to the post-17th Amendment (17A) ratification Congress imo, please note the following.

The current corrupt Congress left over from the lawless Obama Administration will predictably not lift a finger to make punitive laws that discourage state actors from abridging the constitutionally enumerated rights of citizens like the student in question, 1st Amendment protected free speech in this example.

The remedy …

Patriots in all states need to finish the job that they started when they elected Trump president.

More specifically, patriots now need to be making sure that there are plenty of Trump-supporting candidates on the ballots who will commit to making punitive laws to discourage state agents from abridging constitutionally enumerated protections, and pink-slip career lawmakers by sending patriot candidate lawmakers to DC on election day 2018.

And until the states wake up and repeal the ill-conceived 17A, as evidenced by concerns about the integrity of the outcome of Alabama's and Pennsylvania's special elections, patriot candidates need to win elections by a large enough margin to compensate for possible deep state ballot box fraud and associated MSM scare tactics.

Isn’t this school a bully free zone, along with being a gun free zone?

They keep talking about being anti-bullying, yet bully anyone who speaks up to point out their actions are un-Constitutional.
