Scientific American continues on its activist leftward path, diluting its scientific brand by transmitting biased anti-gun propaganda under the cover of academic sociology.
The latest entry was posted Wednesday and has become a popular post: “Why Are White Men Stockpiling Guns? -- Research suggests it's largely because they're anxious about their ability to protect their families, insecure about their place in the job market and beset by racial fears.”
If that headline wasn’t a giveaway, writer Jeremy Adam Smith's bio left little hope for an objective take: “....author or co-editor of four books, including The Compassionate Instinct and Are We Born Racist?”
After pointing out that “Since the 2008 election of President Obama, the number of firearms manufactured in the U.S. has tripled....” Smith asked “So, who is buying all these guns -- and why?”
His answer, boiled down: Dumb racists.

A long time ago I subscribed to SA magazine because I really liked reading about science news. But they started to pollute their magazine articles with left-winged politics. The last straw was when they published a pro homosexual propaganda piece complete with porno homo erotic pics!!! It was so outrageously over the top. Had NOTHING to do with science, and EVERYTHING to do with pushing perverted left-wing propaganda. Lost all respect for SA for that stupid act...

Damn... I’m a soon to be, 73 years young, black man. Retired as a thermo-chemist (Calorimetry), after 31 years from a major chemical company. Charter boat Capt., since 1977. While checking thru Customs in the Bahamas, was always asked the question, “Captain, why do you need so many firearms, on board”? My answer I do know how many bad guys are out there.
I’ve been called a “redneck” numerous times, because of my love of guns. I also, have two silencers. One for a H&K USP45, the other or a Ruger MKIII 22/45. Dan Wesson, revolvers, in any caliber are my weakness.
I used to subscribe to Scientific American, before retiring. What a waste of time now!
