Republican Rep. Charlie Dent (Pa.) said Saturday that the firing of Deputy FBI Director Andrew McCabe on Friday looked to be a "vindictive" move by the president.
In an interview with CNN, Dent said that while he would wait for the inspector general's report to judge McCabe, his firing looked like retribution from the White House.
"This firing looks a bit forced, a bit rushed. Candidly, it looks like retribution and a bit vindictive," Dent said. "And I think it's unfortunate. The man said he's resigning, you know, and on a Friday night before his 50th birthday he's fired to take away his pension? I don't like the optics of this, I really don't."
Dent added that he believed Attorney General Jeff Sessions was "browbeaten" into firing McCabe Friday night after weeks of public humiliation from President Trump.
"It looks like the attorney general may have been browbeaten into this, he's been publicly humiliated and shamed by the president on multiple occasions, and I just don't think this bodes well."

There was no retribution. The FBI’s Office of Professional Responsibility, staffed with career officials, recommended McCabe’s termination. Yes, Republican Rep. Charlie Dent (Pa.) is a moron and those who are buying into the retribution line are serving the Left as fools.
So he'll wait for the IG report to judge McCabe - but he'll judge the President immediately.

Because they have been in Washington toooo long and are one big party, against the people they were supposed to serve. Both dems and reps are “good friends” and our votes for a new Leader, got in their way. They want him OUT!
I have watched all I can watch of the talking heads... I am somewhat surprised that there are so many who want to be seen on the camera, giving their opinions. I am also fed up with it ... I can’t watch any more of them!! Talk all day trying to make a ‘sensational’ story last all weekend.
Fox ‘reporters’ do NOT say often enough all the fbi and that bunch of hypocrites, have done to our President for the past year and longer. They have called us names, they have put us into the class of “too dumb to vote” and they are trying to nullify my vote and remove a duly elected President. And THEY are the ones who have been mistreated?!! Poor mccabe has been the one who has been attacked all year?!!! will the Fox people PLEASE point out they are the attackers and our President has been the one attacked by them!!!
They say all hell will break lose if and when mccabe was fired... but if he was NOT fired, all would have been okay with them, because they think we won’t do anything?! They are saying they DO have a double standard... and they are saying they can do what they put others in jail for... and not suffer any consequences!
That is what the swamp looks like and will we EVER get them out of Trump’s daily dealings.. his trying to get things done... they are filth and don’t know it!!

I’m glad the anti-Trump cabal feels it’s all about retribution by Trump. They absolutely loathe him. It only adds to their torment that began when he beat them in the election. They are doing this to themselves and don’t even realize it.
So CNN cherry picks a Swamp Republican to fit their agenda.
Well I sure won’t call you naive, because I don’t think anyone anticipated anything like this level of resistance and insubordination. Remember when Bush the Younger took office the Clinton kids swiped the “W” keys off the keyboards and Bill and Hillary looted the furniture but it was pretty much an orderly transition of power. The difference is, W did not threaten any of the Deep State power base, in fact they were probably happier with him than they would have been with Algore because Bush’s roots are deeper (no pun intended).
Trump is everything you say, but they see his independent, dynamic leadership as a threat, not as an asset or role mode. It’s less that they are not loyal, it’s that they are loyal to the wrong things.

Some of McCabe’s own co-workers were talking about burning the upper tier of the FBI to the ground unless McCabe got a smackdown-sounds perfectly fair to me...
