Saying God bless you after someone sneezes is listed as a microaggression on a lengthy anti-oppression guide posted online by Simmons College.
This guide is intended to provide some general information about anti-oppression, diversity, and inclusion as well as information and resources for the social justice issues key to the Simmons College community, it states, adding this guide is by no means exhaustive.
Yet it includes hyperlinks to more than 100 resources, such as articles and videos, and boasts eight different subsections: anti-oppression, anti-racism, anti-transmisia, anti-ableism, anti-Islamomisia, anti-sanism, anti-queermisia and social justice zines.
The guides authors explain that they replaced the typical suffix phobia, such as Islamophobia, with the term misia, because the term phobia is offensive to people with phobias.

I would also mention the Democrats booing God and Jerusalem as Israel’s capital as a Sign of the Times and manifestation of the spirit of antichrist.
People with common sense, who operate in the real world, have always understood that some pople have to have verbal projects to make themselves seem to have a purpose.
So where did the myth originate that your heart stops when you sneeze? The changing pressure in your chest due to sneezing also changes your blood flow, which may change the rhythm of your heartbeat. Dr. Richard Conti, past president of the American College of Cardiology, speculates that the belief that the heart actually comes to a stop during a sneeze could result from the sensation of having the heart “skip a beat.” When there is a prolonged delay before the heart’s next beat, he said, that beat is then more forceful and more noticeable, perhaps as a funny sensation in the throat or upper chest (Ray, 1992).
Why do people say, God bless you, after someone sneezes?
There are varying accounts as to the origin of this response. One belief is that it originated in Rome when the bubonic plague was raging through Europe. One of the symptoms of the plague was coughing and sneezing, and it is believed that Pope Gregory I (Gregory the Great) suggested saying God bless you after a person sneezed in hopes that this prayer would protect them from an otherwise certain death.
The expression may have also originated from superstition. Some people believe that the custom of asking for Gods blessing began when ancient man thought that the soul was in the form of air and resided in the bodys head. A sneeze, therefore, might accidentally expel the spirit from the body unless God blessed you and prevented this from occurring. Some ancient cultures also thought that sneezing forced evil spirits out of the body endangering others because these spirits might now enter their bodies. The blessing was bestowed to protect both the person sneezed and others around him.
Graduates of this institution, as well as most others, already are having a hard time dealing with the real world.

America has become silly. I’m glad I’m retired, and nearing the end of my days. I remember America as she once was.
I’m going to say it more.
Ensuring America has a continuing supply of timid mushy-headed Snowflakes, Drama Queens, Nancy Boys and Gun Fearing Wussies.
I consider lefties getting offended over harmless things a microaggression.
Well..
Bless yuh l’il ol’ heart!
If only kids today would boycott these colleges for a couple of years, that tuition would drop like a rock, but sad to say there’s a never ending supply of students and nobody in Congress calls these colleges out over the price gouging. I see all these students constantly protesting everything under the sun except tuition price gouging, it’s unreal how the indoctrination today completely rules these kids and then they get suckered in and find themselves under mountains of debt. Harvard tuition I remember use to be $5,000 in the late 1970s. Now it’s about $65,000. Sixty five freakin thousand dollars, 250% over the inflation rate. Did teachers suddenly become better in all that time? Not from what I’m seeing!

How about saying “F you” after someone tells me saying “God bless you” is a microaggresion? Is that acceptable?
“anti-sanism”
Hmm, I guess they want us to act like being sane is not better than being insane? Probably makes them feel inferior because lefties are all insane?
I bet, Saying Merry Christmas as well as Happy New Year is included as aggression.
“Im going to say it more.”
I agree. But considering that the saying goes back to the Black Death days, when a sneeze might indicate death in a few hours, I might tweak it a bit.
Maybe they would like this better, “May God take your should to heaven.” If they don’t like it, I can always change the destination. ;-)
As do I.
Lies and deception are rampant in today’s world. And people are completely unashamed about their hand in it. When you use the devil’s tools, you serve the devil, not God.
“So, if that aggression to say bless you, try GFYourself then.”
Wonder where a left hook would fall on the spectrum?
No, that would be considered a macroaggresion, but I'm all for it.
“Tuition and fees at the university is listed at nearly $40,000 annually.”
That should be declared a macroaggression. But, I’m betting that is nowhere near that amount for protected classes of people, only for white people.
