This is a dastardly plot to insure that Californians get sufficient water, no matter what their betters in Sacramento, San Francisco and LA think.
“This is a dastardly plot to insure that Californians get sufficient water, no matter what their betters in Sacramento, San Francisco and LA think.”
That’s about it.
We need this and more dams.
The only ones I feel sorry for are those living BELOW the dam and the eventual flood path should the dam fail.
IF the federal government/BLM see’s the need to protect those same people, PLUS provide badly needed water sometime in the future downstream, why the states resistance?
Sounds like something Kalifornika politicians would do.
And, what is nice about it, is that the dam is in Northern CA. A nice control option should things go south.
Most of CAs water problem is in water management. They drain water out of the dams supposedly for salmon habitat, even when after 40 years in some cases , there has been no salmon record. They still continue to drain at least 40 percent of the capacity.
