When Benjamin Glaze, at the time a 19-year-old cashier from Enid, Okla., auditioned for “American Idol,” he had hoped his big moment would come as he belted out “Stadium,” a song he wrote himself. That or Nick Jonas’s 2015 single “Levels.”
Instead, it came when the popstar Katy Perry, a judge on the show, surprised him by kissing him smack on the lips, moments before his audition. He had never been kissed before.
“I was a tad bit uncomfortable,” Mr. Glaze said by phone this week, after the incident aired on the season premiere. His first kiss was a rite of passage he had been putting off with consideration. “I wanted to save it for my first relationship,” he said. “I wanted it to be special.”
“Would I have done it if she said, ‘Would you kiss me?’ No, I would have said no,” he said. “I know a lot of guys would be like, ‘Heck yeah!’ But for me, I was raised in a conservative family and I was uncomfortable immediately. I wanted my first kiss to be special.”

What “lady” are you talking about. Katy Perry is a skank and I am pretty sure I wouldn’t want to be kissing her.

I would guess the 19yr old male is closer to gay, than conservative.

I know Joy Behar & Co would consider them mentally ill.
And I guess if one of the male judges had done that to a girl who was auditioning, it would have been fine.
Every single woman in this country would have went stark raving mad at the sexual assault.
But go ahead, be a jerk. But I know young men who are trying to stay pure for their future wives, and I will support their attempt more than you slamming some man because he got what you lust after.

The guy was casually kissed by Katy Perry, and his taken offense made it to the New York times.
In addition to my gaydar suspicion, if I’m wrong...his daddy never taught him how to man up.
I don’t mind that you defend puritans. Somebody has to.
But the kid is clearly a pussy.
Looking at Perry lately, it appears that she is the 19 year old boy.
Hisassment.

Even if this fellow is gay, he ought to just shut up, and enjoy the heightened level of attention. Does he not know how show business works? That could have been his entry pass into
more contract negotiations or other exposure. I think the phrase ‘douche’ was made for moments like this one.

You wouldn’t understand. The boy will have a better marriage than 75% of this country has. Good for him.
People really need to more readily spot these false outrage stories planted in the press to garner PR and, they hope, ratings.
