Lamb vs. Saccone Special Election PA18
NY Times ^ | March 13, 2018

Posted on 03/13/2018 5:16:01 PM PDT by Pinkbell

A thread to discuss the results.

I feel like Lamb has a lot of momentum, has run as a moderate, and has run a better campaign. I'll predict he'll win tonight (although I'd like to see Saccone win).

NYT does a good job with election results.

Allegheny still has 5% to report. Waiting to find out how big the vote needs to be?

Many many voters do not associate president with party. Just us diehards on the right and left do. Obama got elected twice but Dems lost House and Senate during his terms.

Trump will win PA in 2020 but it doesn’t mean all those Dems and Indies that vote for him will vote for other Republicans. They view him independently.

Ok, for those who must; yes, it truly is nailbiting time. Difference less than a thousand. The Libertarian candidate may be a spoiler.

Conor Lamb leads by 0.5 percentage points over Rick Saccone with 95 percent of precincts fully reporting.

Conor Lamb
Democrat
101,907 49.9%

Rick Saccone
Republican
100,979 49.5

Drew Miller
Libertarian
1,259 0.6

204,145 votes, 95% reporting (563 of 593 precincts)

Dave Wasserman: “UPDATE: Lamb (D) lead falls to 928 votes (0.4%) w/ 95% of precincts reporting. Nearly all Westmoreland in. The remaining Allegheny precincts lean Lamb, remaining Washington precincts lean Saccone.”

The lame stream media evening news said that the dems spent three times as much money on this race for Lamb than the GOP spent on Saccone.

Meanwhile, the narrative is the GOP has all the money and the RATS have none. Sure.

Perhaps Mitt’s niece needs to be replaced as head of the RNC.

If only the talk radio circuit had paid attention to this race it would not be this close - even just a few hundred more conservatives going to the polls obviously would have made a difference. Barely any discussion of it at all. Compare that to the Georgia race last year.

They are going to be horrible anyway. A close loss is a big win to them....

They are that way anyway. Let them take Silver again and claim victory. But we still need the win and it is so close it could go either way. It could be the Libertarian holds the winning difference.
