Delta’s move to dump the NRA was so stupid.
What did they think, that only 13 NRA members ever flew Delta and they would only lose 13 prospective passengers?
It sure looks like that’s what they thought.
A quick estimated from looking at the Delta stock chart is that they have lost about 4-5% in value since Tuesday.
Bad business decision. They didn’t think about the fact that many millions of their customers believe in the 2nd amendment, some of whom may be an NRA member that did not take their little discount, and many more that aren’t even an NRA member.
That’s why I am NOT a member of the AARP.
Cutting ties to a 2A related program that was only used 13 times then losing $50 million in the backlash is my kind of social justice.
It’s 5 million and one as of today.
Just purchased a life time membership because all this type of crap pisses me off.
Of course the NRA makes out like a bandit, I am getting pretty long in the tooth now.

I am happy that Delta Airlines does not show favor to NRA members. They shouldn’t. It is getting stupid for corporations to offer any incentives for politcal/activist entities. It usually alienates you from half of your customers. Shut up and fly.
They’re going to lose a lot more than 13 fares for virtue signalling how much they hate average Americans. Not to mention dumping Delta stock.

ATL is a big Delta hub so it will have a larger impact, I don’t know if they have a tankering program that could mitigate it some.
I do not fly as much as I used to as I would rather drive than go through all the hassles these days.
Southwest has a pretty big presence @ ATL since it bought AirTran. Unless you are flying internationally, it’s pretty easy to avoid Delta at Hartsfield/Jackson/McKinney/HoseaWilliams/BillCampbell/Corrupt-o-Kleptocracy Airport
Gonna cost a lot more than 13 ticket sales for the virtue signalling.

Delta chose to fly into a storm which resulted in a hard landing.

They had a PERFECT economic case to kill the discount, as it likely cost them many thousands to keep track of it. So all they had to do was quietly explain that to the NRA and end it, and if not done during these hysterical times, they’d still have their fuel break, and the NRA members.
