HAHAHAHA.

So they lost a large fuel tax break for showboating on something that involved a handful of tickets.
Karma’s a bitch.

The tax increase, or a failure to renew a tax discount, on jet fuel will hit all airlines fueling in Georgia, not just Delta. Most likely this tax will be passed along to the passengers on Delta as well as any other airline.

The Georgia state budget gets more money, passengers in a seat have less.

Skyliner reports these airlines using ATL:

Southwest Airlines flights
Alaska Airlines flights
AirChoiceOne flights
Delta flights
jetBlue flights
Boutique Air flights
American Airlines flight
Spirit Airlines flights
United flights
Frontier Airlines flights

Other airlines flying to Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson

Korean Air flights
Aeromexico flights

...This makes me wonder just how many AR-15’s were sold last year
by Dick’s Sporting Goods...

The answer is zero. Dicks Sporting Goods stopped selling modern sport utility rifles after Sandy Hook.

However, you can still buy all the 5.56/223 ammunition that you want there.
Good markup in ammunition for the 5 million AR15’s already out there.
What does that tell us?

I don’t belong to the NRA for the crappy discounts. If crappy discounts mattered more than my beliefs I’d join the freakin’ AARP....

Delta stepped on its own Dick’s.....

"Well then maybe they shouldn’t have played all high and mighty and shit on 5+ million members by insulting them."

That's kind of like photobucket. Remember them?

Think about it Delta. If what you say is true, then you are forgoing millions in revenue for what, a thousand in discounts.

The stupid, it burns.

Doesn’t matter now. Now it’s about INTENT AND PRINCIPALS! One must be careful what they ask for as they just might get it. I won’t fly Delta if I have another choice.

So they are driving away business over 13 tickets?

The NRA "discount" was the Delta excuse.....a now pathetic one at that. Management at Delta has exposed its globalist gun-grabbing ideology. This was obviously there before the Florida murders took place. No company would knowingly discard thousands of customers to punish 13 who got "discounts."

The folks at Delta who took this position are even dumber than NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell assuming that is even possible.

So then this ridiculous virtue-signalling stunt was a purely gratuitous insult to 5 million potential customers? And somebody in management thought this was a good idea? Amazing.

This was already said a thousand times. How many people took advantage of the Enterprise or Delta/United discounts? Nearly no one. No one joins the NRA for discounted car rentals.

Exactly. I said at the time I heard it that the whole thing was not about advantaged fares for NRA members, but advertising brand awareness by Delta. They were the only ones benefiting by the association with the NRA.

What a huge publicity blunder by an otherwise good airline. They were panicked by a teenage bully.
