He might want to rethink that tactic when it comes to verbalizing thoughts that knock on the door of violating Constitutional rights.
Let’s assume that he is trustworthy enough to never infringe on our rights in any way. Do you want to leave that door open for whoever’s next... or the one after that? I don’t.

The problem of mental instability and firearms is an extremely complex issue. For example, where do you stand on a wife beater husband and his guns? It’s just that I have seen, what I characterize, as a hyper reactive edginess by Trump supporters on a number of past issues. You can expect such immediate criticism from liberals, but, in my view, there are way too many “conservatives” standing ready to pile on Trump at the drop of a dime. He gets a non stop beating, day out and day in from all quarters. Then, we hear the President just had a two hour sit down last night for the second time with the NRA. At some point you have to develop a level of trust in the guy and not take everything he says extemporaneously as the law.
