One possibility is national reciprocity. I think he may have been feeling out the liberals to judge whether having that in the bill would kill it.
Another possibility would be mandating that schools allow teachers with carry permits to carry in classrooms. I'm not sure that the Demoncrats would go for that. Perhaps that will be in the bill and kill it dead.
Anybody else have ideas on what Trump could use to kill this nonsense. Keep in mind that the goal is to have the Democrats vote to keep the bill from reaching Trump's desk just like he did with DACA.

That was the number one thing on my list, keeping our rights to semi-auto weapons and high-cap mags, another AWB would be an utter betrayal of that.

It is time to buy an AR-10 and an AR-15, plus ammo, for every member of the family to use. If someone might eventually need modern sporting rifles, for the purpose for which the Second Amendment was enacted, they should have those rifles before Election Day. We might lose this one, now or in 2019, and if so we’re headed for much worse times.
Three hundred million firearms is nowhere near enough. I’d like to see the USA hit 400 million this year.
