Hope Hicks to Resign as White House Communications Director
NYT ^ | February 28, 2018 | Maggie Haberman

Posted on 02/28/2018 1:54:43 PM PST by Pinkbell

Hope Hicks, the White House communications director and one of President Trump’s longest-serving advisers, said Wednesday that she was resigning.

Ms. Hicks, 29, a former model who joined Mr. Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign without any experience in politics, became known as one of the few aides who understood his personality and style and could challenge the president to change his views.

Ms. Hicks had been considering leaving for several months. She told colleagues that she had accomplished what she felt she could with a job that made her one of the most powerful people in Washington, and that there would never be a perfect moment to leave, according to White House aides.

Her resignation came a day after she testified for eight hours before the House Intelligence Committee, telling the panel that in her job, she had occasionally been required to tell white lies but had never lied about anything connected to the investigation into Russia’s interference in the 2016 election.

She did not say what her next job would be, and her departure date was unclear, but it is likely to be in the next few weeks.

Ms. Hicks said that she had “no words” to express her gratitude to the president, who responded with his own statement.

Is there anyone from Trump originally still there?

Why would she do that? Will she write a tell all?

Why would the leader of our country leave?

Kellyanne Conway is still there. I feel like it would have been so much better for him had he brought the people who truly supported him on board from the very beginning in. Too many establishment types got in there.

Kellyanne Conway is from later. I haven’t even heard about her in nine months. Is she still working?

She is leaving because she was forced to admit that she sometimes lied for the President (although not on Russia matters). This means that if she stayed people would always suspect her of lying, so Trump needs to pick someone who is so far untarnished. J has been reduced to a “Secret” clearance. Heck, I had a secret clearance once, and I was just working as a secretary. Don’t know how J will be able to do much work now.

If she has had much public speaking exposure for Trump, there is bound to be evidence of the “white” lies. She is smart enough to not want a perjury conviction.

I’ll take ugly and my liberty over attractive, smooth talking fascists (I don’t mean Ms. Hicks).

You’d have to be a pretty weak man to think a beautiful lady is distracting. But then again there’s no shortage of weak men - which is why society looks like it does.

Saw her at CPAC - she still works there. Dan Scavino still works there too. Trump would have been better to pick more loyalists for his team.

She could have reworded the question and said it was spin. She is supposed to be a communications expert. Oh well.

Why would she do that?

They were dating when they worked at the White House. Now neither of them has that responsibility, so there's no reason they couldn't focus on their relationship.

I suspect the porter connection was why she was let go. My guess is that she ran interference for him. I have absolutely no proof of that. LOL

How much more obvious does it have to be?

Just on what is known so far, each one is looking at 25 to life in prison.

Hope Hicks to Resign as White House Communications Director

Finally found out what a sewer the District of Corruption really is and decided to get back to reality.

I have nothing against her except poor taste in men. Could not give a ** if she slept her way to the top.

It’s a great country where you can rise from steaming the President’s pants to running the white house communications office.
