As special prosecutor Robert Mueller racks up one indictment after another in his probe of Russian influence in the 2016 presidential election, his investigators are increasingly focusing on a seemingly insignificant fact concerning the president: When exactly did private citizen Donald Trump decide he should run for president?
FOX Business has learned that Muellers team has been focusing on this detail in interviews with people who have been called to provide testimony in the probe into Russian meddling in the 2016 election and whether Trump aides or associates violated federal laws by colluding in that effort to gain an edge over Hillary Clinton.
People with direct knowledge of these interviews said that Muellers investigators have made finding the details of the timing of Trumps decision a key question for people in his orbit who have been asked to speak with the special prosecutors office.
Why exactly the special prosecutors office cares so much about the timing of Trumps decision to run is unclear, but people with knowledge of the investigation said such information may be used to show that the future president entered the race at about the same time Russian agents began to expand efforts to influence the election in his favor, first over his defeated GOP challengers in the primaries and then when he pulled off an upset victory over Clinton in November 2016 ...

Shut down this Russia investigation already.
It was 1988 the first time I remember hearing about it!
“Hillary, Obama, Holder, Lynch, Comey, Steele, and many more. The entire cabal subverted the election and tried to destroy the duly elected president. They need to be arrested and tried.”
A wise man said 3 years ago, ‘the fed govt is so irreparably corrupt that we need a convention of the states to hold Nuremberg-style treason trials and hangings on the national mall.’

I don’t know when he decided, but I decided around Memorial Day, 2015.
About 3 weeks before he announced.
That’s when I started attacking Ted Cruz on this site for his “less than clear position on immigration”...and it nearly got me banned, permanently.
Now, of course I can say I was right and everyone else was wrong. But it sure was a kerfuffle then.
To answer the question, probably in 1988 or so.
I read the book in 8th grade back in ‘64. Can you believe that!? Reading Les Misérables at age 13! Kids today are reading “See Spot run” in 8th grade and struggle over those three words.
Charlie Gasparino is a blathering idiot.
He is truly incomprehensible whenever he appears on Fox Business, and he is ridiculed by the interviewers.
And this is when hes talking about business.
I laugh at his effort here to get in on the intelligence reporting thats getting all the clicks.
“...violated federal laws by colluding...”
What section of the federal criminal code holds this as a crime?
I think Mueller is a despicable pos who is desperately trying to criminalize the presidency.
Collusion isnt a crime. Nor is announcing a run for President.
mueller and his team of LIB losers are beyond pathetic. One can only hope that Justice will find them all.
Trump has a pattern of taking the hits and when thosedoing the hitting are spent, letting them have it 20-fold. I am still hoping that the reason that Sessions has been so quiet is that he and a team have been busy working on the indictments. Off of the top of my head, I can think of at least a dozen. And i would advise California politicians who have been usurping the law to walk around with a toothbrush.
I know I'm not the first to ask this question, but WTF is going on here!?!
This coup attempt is not going to end until Mueller gets his man or Mueller and his co-conspirators are removed and the people make it clear to Congress and the lefties at large that they will not put up with it.
...violated federal laws by colluding...
What section of the federal criminal code holds this as a crime?
If it is a crime, why is Mr. Flexible Obama walking around. Hes on videotape plain as day colluding with the Russians.
The Army of Northern Virginia called themselves “Lee’s Miserables.”
I agree with you. Gasparino has little credibility due to gis trump hatred.
If I’d had to sit through watching that arrogant A-hole live, I would have run against him too.
