The CDC researcher now missing for two weeks was disappointed he was passed over for a promotion, Atlanta police said Tuesday afternoon.
Timothy Cunningham, 35, told several co-workers he had expected to receive the promotion, Major Michael OConnor said. Cunningham, a Morehouse College and Harvard University graduate, is an epidemiologist with the chronic disease department of the CDC.
On Feb. 12, Cunningham reported to work, but left early, telling co-workers he did not feel well. When his parents couldnt reach him, they drove from Maryland to his northwest Atlanta home. All of Cunninghams personal belongings and his vehicle were found in the home.

So, he went home, left his keys, wallet, and all and did what? Where? Bet somewhere nearby he committed suicide and just a matter of time before they find his remains.

Yes, I put money on suicide, sad as it is, since he was already reporting stress and problems to his family, then loses the promotion, then disappears.

Probably became accustomed to having a certain sense of entitlement because of his race. I see it all the time where I work.

The CDC seems like just the place to employ people who handle disappointment poorly.

Somewhere there may be a super villain with some interesting biologicals bought from a disgruntled CDC employee.

Smells like BS. Agreed. Could be a cover story to stop people from speculating.
