ACU, the sponsor of CPAC, is almost a NeverTrump organization itself. I believe it’s a mistake for actual conservatives to lend them credibility. YMMV

The ACU is indeed a libertarian organization. I unfortunately, joined them many years ago but I never gave them one stinking dollar. As time went by, their policies leaned to the left. They are only good at organizing conservatives but not really espousing them.
