There is a smallish percentage of Godly, conservative pubic school teachers, but they keep a lowwww profile. Its whack-a-mole if they are identified. It would be very good to give them a not-at-risk voice, it the NEA wont allow it.
I learned decades ago how the NEA controls PTAs, too, after our PTA was taking a conservative position in a school issue. You want these teachers as dues-paying members of this PTA? Well, your current position on this could end that.

There is a retail liquor store in
Albuquerque where every single
employee is armed. It’s a prerequisite
for the job. As far as I can remember
they’ve been in business for over 25
years. Not a single robbery attempt.
Reassuring when you see .44’s prominently
displayed.
A show of willingness to defend brings
instant respect.

But somehow armed national guardmen in airports and in Grand Central Station are just fine with them.

America needs to follow Israel’s lead. As many teachers are comfortable carrying should take the training and carry concealed.

As usual, the NEA presuming to speak for the rank and file teachers.
Those who don’t wish to be armed don’t have to be. Just don’t take that option away from the rest of them.

I think we should require more schools to hire former military as teachers. That would solve two problems at once. More courageous teachers and teachers who would be willing to carry arms

My daughter is an excellent marksman and kindergarten teacher. Id rather police substations be placed in school parking lots than arming teachers. Perhaps you should ask your daughter to imagine a worse case situation (active shooter entering her classroom) and ask her what she would prefer inasmuch as it is her life and that of her students on the line.

Many churches are arming. Bet their schools will, too. A Christian school will probably be a much safer choice soon.

Bringing more guns into our schools does nothing to protect our students and educators from gun violence.
Our students need more books, art and music programs, nurses and school counselors
