I wish wisdom to those who name it. “Federalist” might as well be Greek to most people. “Federal” is even a misnomer. It is an entity that sprang into practical existence with the Civil War. I struggle for a name. But someone will need to find a good one. Associative?

Under the Articles of Confederation, congressional government was pure federal.
