It makes everything and anything ok. I knew co-workers who started it and I was really shocked by the change. Talking to one of them was like having a razor blade waved in my face.
The prescribers of Prozac to people who do crimes should also be held accountable - somehow.
Today, more and more kids seem to "think" that video games are somehow "real" and spend far more time being solitary, playing these games, than we ever did just playing...plus we played with others. Face to face reality keeps kids grounded, but also helps to keep a child's imagination alive.
When we were growing up, even with movie newsreels about wars, we weren't bombarded by images of killings of any kind. There were ADULT movies ( and I'm not talking about porn! )and then there were movies that were fine for kids to see. Parents used to be VERY careful about what movies kids saw; ditto for T.V. shows.
The vast majority of kids, from all races, religions, social strata lived in two parent ( a biological mother & father ) home. That's sadly no longer the case.
THERE WERE RULES!
But there weren't "helicopter" parents.
Pop culture was vastly different back then! Can you remember any songs that promoted killing cops? I can't and I have an excellent memory.
Back then there were still insane asylums and yes, there were kids in them. Now? Now they live at home and sometimes shoot up other kids & teachers.
Familes that are stable and intact, and who take care of their children, produce no mass killers. Only the Progressive ideal leads to slaughter.
Part of the problem is that a very large percentage of kids especially boys are put on SSRI’s (Prozac, Zoloft etc etc) which can exaggerate their conditions.
Plus divorced and single parents are far greater in degree. Lack of good role models too. The kids grow up confused and conflicted with all the social crapola.
diversity of the population leads to an unsettled population, disorder and confusion which leads to family breakdowns and to all kinds of mental problems.
- Turning away from faith
- Liberalization of schools
- Social media where like-minded creeps can find each other
- Horrid internet etiquitte where personal attacks and insults are the norm
- Breakdown of nuclear family
- Ever-more depraved entertainment
- Psychotropic drugs.
I figure that's a good start.

Not PC to say so, but in the 1960s, the US was very nearly 90% white, while it is now down to 70% and still dropping.
You are only 1 yr. older than I am. I agree. One difference that I had - one of my grannies was fanatical about pointing a gun at anyone. That went for toy guns, sticks, and fingers.
If she caught you it was standing in the corner time, or maybe even whoopin time. She said it was disrespectful, and that a person should never point a gun at anyone they didn’t intend to kill. That seemed like a mixed message at the time, but now I do understand it.
God was taken out of the school for one thing..you hear leftists mocking God all the time..they go on TV and mock Mike Pence for saying that God speaks to him..I talk to God all the time, every night before bed when I say my prayers its what comforts me..its not the gun, its what is in someone’s soul..when you have people on twitter saying that its “Karma” that a man in Florida lost his daughter because he was shown last night on TV wearing a Trump 2020 t-shirt, that this man “Had what is coming to him for supporting Trump” that is not a gun issue, its a soul issue..we live in a society that hates each other..majority because of politics..its “I hate you because of who you support” you can take away the gun, the knife, the car, the baseball bat, the ax out of someone’s hand, you can’t take out what is in their heart..and if they have no heart, they will find a way to enact evil

I’ll add Adhd drugs, antidepressants and social media to the list. Also, 99% of the time it is white boys doing the killing, why not black boys? Is it because white boys are told they are useless and have white privilege and all the other SJW Crap? White boys are literally hated today by the left.

We've been at endless war for over 16 years now. People are disconnected from their communities. Our "culture" is violent and doesn't promote positive values. Political correctness and the dictates of the perpetually offended have taken away our freedom to think for ourselves.
