They normally don’t identify minors. This guy is 19. And I think we have a right to know who killers are.

~~~~
Meh... this is going to come off as a flippant retort, and I guess it is, but to me, the it’s not the right to “...life, liberty, and the pursuit of killer’s names”.
I’ll go one further. I don’t think terrorists should be identified by name. I think a lot of them want their infamy. I think if they have ‘manifestos’, those should be banned from being published. These scum are desperately trying to immortalize themselves onto society, and they are doing it written in the blood of innocents and children. May they all go to hell and may they remain obscure pieces of excrement too.
If only public schools could be more like orisons.
When I went to school we didn’t even have “school resource officers”.
Secure that thing you love. Fortify its position. Make that fortification known, and highlight the peril of anyone who attempts to trespass.
I was just thinking of the idea of "Shields for Schools".
Put Gun Shields in the classrooms, and in the event of an armed shooter, people could at least interfere greatly with his ability to kill them.
Wanna go further? "Shields and Slingshots for Schools." Get everyone in the school hiding behind shields and firing steel balls at the S.0.B. and there would be few who would want to try it after that.
Relatively low cost solution compared to the other idiocy out there.
I don’t ever hear the experts on any of the news channels ask; What does Israel do for their schools?
Heard the best solution and lowest cost solution to this matter as I was driving around listening to Limbaugh.
Caller simply suggested eliminating schools.
Have our kids get their education from the safety of their own homes via online accredited courses.
It’s really an outstanding idea. Don’t congregate in unsecured areas where you enemies can prey on you like fish in a barrel.
Furthermore, eliminating the school also remedies oodles of other problems too.
It will never happen because in the words of “Glenn Reynolds”, it doesn’t leave enough opportunity for graft.
Doing so would also deprive our government of its opportunity to indoctrinate children with its agenda.
There are no effective solutions to this matter coming from government or its politicians. I’m not even sure what that profession still exists. It’s useless.
Until people become serious about solving this, it’s going to continue to happen.
And politicians are going to continue to try and lubricate their leftist agenda with the warm blood of dead children.
Personally, I sick of it and them.
I have been saying that ever since Columbine.
These freaks with their brains fried on Ritalin, Adderall, Evekeo, Dexedrine, etc, etc and violent video games want their #metoo (yeah I hijacked the hashtag) moment of fame as they try to out do each other.
It’s not the guns. It’s a lack of parenting that cause these shootings and the fuze is lit by the media for the next one to happen.
We don’t need to know the name/ age of the shooter. We don’t need to see their psychotic mugs plastered on TV and print. If the psychopath is dead, run his corpse through a wood chipper and bury whats left in a landfill. In the recent one, take him out behind the courthouse, shoot him in the head and follow the above disposal procedure.
Social Media can take a big bow for alot of these problems, IMO.
They keep encouraging kids as young as 6 that ‘they can change the world’ & that being ‘well known’ is more important than anything else.
It is driving these kids into a life of desperation when they do not get to see themselves being fawned over like they wish to be fawned over.
Social Media is a terrible trap for immature minds...even those in their 50’s & up.....
I thought about this just the other day. I was wondering how many parents ended up getting an education themselves because their kids asked them a question they weren’t sure how to answer, so went out and read about it...
Making terrorist threats, for starters. Many states have a section in the penal code that covers this, and it could lead to a commitment by a court for evaluation. According to reports, police were called to his home 39 times in seven years, though the perps weren’t specified. A dedicated cop might be able to see warning signs and have a conversation with superiors about answering your question. Another law in some states, though it’s ripe for abuse by gun grabbers, would allow the state to remove guns from an individual who has been ID’d as a danger to himself or others. Don’t you have some suggestions, as well, or have you given up?
I don’t think an 18 year old should be able to legally buy a semi-automatic firearm. Maybe not any firearm until 21.
Florida has the Baker Act. If anyone considered him a danger to himself or others, he could have been committed.
Such a good idea to deny what the shooters are seeking.
Studies suggest that media coverage of mass shootings can have a significant impact on the psyches of potential mass shooters — that such potential mass shooters have a cognitive craving for attention, which they know they will receive for committing atrocities.
