The first two openly gay male U.S. winter Olympians are doubling down on their feud with Vice President Pence over his record on LGBTQ rights.
Freeskier Gus Kenworthy posted a photo on Instagram of himself and figure skater Adam Rippon with a caption that calls out Pence, who is leading the U.S. delegation to the 2018 Olympics, by name. Rippon was named to the U.S. Olympic team first, making history as the first openly gay man to represent the country in the Winter Olympics. Kenworthy was named to the team a few weeks later.
“The Opening Ceremony is a wrap and the 2018 Winter Olympic Gaymes are officially under way!” Kenworthy wrote. “I feel incredibly honored to be here in Korea competing for the US and I'm so proud to be representing the LGBTQ community alongside this amazing guy! Eat your heart out, Pence.”
He also used the hashtag “TeamUSGay,” adding American flag and Pride flag emojis.
Kenworthy earlier in February called Pence a “strange choice” and a “bad fit” to lead the U.S. delegation to the Olympics.
“To have somebody leading the delegation that’s directly attacked the LGBTQ community, and a Cabinet in general that just sort of stands against us and has tried to do things to set us back, it just seems like a bad fit,” Kenworthy said. Rippon has been outspoken about his views on Pence and President Trump, saying in an interview earlier this year that he would decline an invitation to the White House because he doesn’t think he would be “welcome” as a gay athlete.
“I don’t think the current administration represents the values that I was taught growing up,” Rippon said. “Mike Pence doesn’t really stand for anything that I believe in.”

Pence is only calling attention to the Bible’s warnings on homosexuality. It’s they who, without repentence, will be “eating their hearts out” - for eternity.

Me to. I remember the Golden Era when ABC covered the games during the 1960’s and into the 1970’s. That was when I watched. Now the games are totally corrupt and anything but the kind of Amateur thing it started out being.
So I will not be watching the Winter or Summer farces.
We don’t really have a county anymore. We’ve got 2 different factions vying for control - old America vs the Marxists. I don’t know why people insist on pretending otherwise. Well, I do know why. It’s more pleasant to lie to ourselves than to contemplate where the alternative leads.
We have nothing in common with these people anymore. Really, we probably have more in common with your average South Korean than a leftist US passport holder. Koreans don’t seem intent upon destroying their culture in pursuit of a multicultural mirage, so off the bat that makes them eminently more same than your average progressive.
I won’t be watching the Olympics. If the left has decided that we won’t have any escapes from politics, fine. Let NBC bill their advertisers without my eyeballs factored in.

Why can’t these athletes just perform to the best of their ability, and leave their sexual preferences out of the games?
Homosexuals actually promote and recruit children, teens and adults to “come out”. Then they call anyone that attempts to push back by telling young people that who they have sex with is an actual choice a homophobe and worse. I have had homosexuals tell me with a straight face, that “the gay lifestyle has very little to do with who you have sex with”. This is the stupidest and most ignorant thing I have ever heard, because without the defining thing of their entire life, which is being proud of having boy on boy sex, they are just weirdly dressed poofs.

Like most folks, I don't care if Kenworthy and Ripon play for the other team. In Ripon's case, gay figure skaters have been around since figure skating, everyone has known it, and it's never been a big deal. He is choosing, however, to dishonor himself and hurt USA Olympics specifically, and organized sports in general.
One suspects that not many Americans will want them to win. Pity they did not choose the classy road.
