"Immigration authorities began removal procedures against the immigrant after his first wife said their marriage was fake.
After being charged with "marriage fraud," Adi lived under a deport order from 2009. His first wife testified in a sworn affidavit that their marriage was legitimate, but that she was pressured by authorities to say otherwise.
The Palestinian man was protected by "private bills" passed by elected officials in the US House of Representatives for years.
These bills typically provide relief to a specific person, as opposed public bills that address nationwide issues.
The bill was rescinded under President Donald Trump, who has overseen a crackdown on undocumented immigrants and asylum seekers."
I got what you were saying.
There is a lot of information missing. When did he get divorced, when did he get remarried, when and why did he go to Brazil, what was the basis of him getting his first green card (Did he get it because he was living in the USA and married to his first wife). Did he take his wife to Brazil with him? Was the second green card rejected because his ex-wife called his second marriage a sham? These are all relevant facts that aren’t provided.
Without them, this is nothing but a cherry picked story designed to make people sorry for him. I’m not buying into it.
Well, he’s reunited with his mama he hasn’t bothered to visit in 20 years. Some loving son there. And now he’s not breaking any American laws so perhaps he can finally turn his life around.
He has a wife who is a US citizen, and four daughters who are also US citizens.
I am a US Citizen, My Wife is Not. She has a Green Card, we went through the process to get it legally, why didn’t he??
by the way when an American Citizen marries a foreigner, they have the Right to have their spouse legally immigrate here.
Wow so many of these stories here on FR! Looks like the new Sheriff is doing a great J O B!
He lived outside of the country for three years. He last saw his mother 20 years ago.
What passport did he use to travel on during that time? Was it a Jordanian passport? If he did not apply for citizenship after marrying, he never intended to stay.
You know her!? Well done.
Boo Hoo. Get ‘em out of here. All of ‘em.
