A federal judge has recommended that James Madison University pay nearly $850,000 in damages to an anonymous student who says the school punished him for a rape he didn’t commit, using a secretive process that didn’t allow him to confront witnesses or present evidence.
The complainant, John Doe, won his lawsuit against James Madison just before Christmas, according to The College Fix, when another federal court judge found that the school had violated his Constitutional right to due process when they gave him a five and a half year suspension based on a bizarre “double jeopardy” clause contained in a 2011 Obama Administration directive to institutions of higher education.
The “Dear Colleague” letter instructed schools to suspend the guarantee against double jeopardy if further evidence presented itself after a student had been cleared of a sexual assault. In Doe’s case, he was accused of rape by a female classmate and exonerated by a faculty panel.

Under the rules the Obama administration put out, a person
could accuse a student of rape with no evidence, and the accused would have their life ruined without due process. I believe some of that is happening with the #me too.

Steele was likely paid in the $100,000 range by the FBI for the research. Perhaps even more.
Sen. John McCain was involved in brokering the introduction of Steele or Steele’s preliminary research to FBI bosses.
The FBI routinely pays third-party private Intel firms to gather evidence used to secure federal search warrants and arrest warrants, as well as FISA court warrants. The FBI does not vet the privately commissioned investigators, like Fusion GPS, who work “off the books” for the Bureau.
The FBI pays such contractors from a budget that is not part of its public expenditures. The transactions are confidential, therefore, Freedom of Information Requests (FOIA) on such transactions are easily and legally denied.
Steele and the firm Fusion GPS may have performed additional privately-commissioned intelligence work for the FBI.

Johnson: “And then on May 19th we have a big gap—a five-month gap. And now the texts begin again. This is two days after Mueller was appointed Special Counsel. Strzock writes—they’re talking back and forth about their future at the FBI given the recent appointment of Mueller. They’re talking about what they ought to do. And it indicates their considering joining that Mueller Special Counsel investigation.
Johnson: “Strzok says, quote, ‘You and I both know the odds are nothing. If I thought it was likely, I’d be there no question. I hesitate in part because of my gut sense and concern there’s no big there there.’ In other words, Peter Strzok was the FBI Deputy Assistant Director of the Counter Intelligence Division, and the man had a plan to do something, because he just couldn’t abide Donald Trump being president.”
Johnson: “It’s saying that his gut sense that there’s no big there there, when it comes to the Mueller Special Counsel investigation. He doesn’t really want to join that because his gut sense is there’s no big there there. I think that’s kind of shocking.”
Johnson: “The correct reaction is we need to see the five months of missing texts, because, who knows. Again, texts between two people having an extra-marital affair, and they’re completely unguarded in their communication. And so we’re getting insight into exactly what’s happening inside the FBI at the highest levels.”
Jay Weber: “Could you read again the passage? What Peter Strzok’s message there was a couple of days after it was announced that Mueller was going to put together this team.”
Johnson: “Yeah, they’re wondering, and we think they’re probably considering whether or not they want to join that team, Strzok says, quote, ‘You and I both know the odds are nothing. There is a deluge of information now coming out of months-long parallel investigations by the House (Nunes and Goodlatte), and Senate (Grassley and Johnson), along with DOJ Inspector General Horowitz. It can be easy to get lost amid the deluge.
